  • Publication number: 20110111139
Abstract: A liquid crystal alignment layer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The liquid crystal alignment layer includes an organic material layer and a plurality of silicon dioxide particles. The plurality of silicon dioxide particles is formed on the organic material layer, and each silicon dioxide particle contains at least one amino (—NH2) group.

  • Publication number: 20050146252
Abstract: A cylinder apparatus with a capability of detecting a piston position includes a cylinder, a throttling valve, a positive limit and a pressure switch. A piston is movably mounted in the cylinder. A piston rod with an outside end protruding out of the cylinder is attached to the piston and adapted to push an object. The cylinder is connected to a pump with pipes. The throttling valve and the pressure switch are connected to the pipes, and the pressure switch is installed between the cylinder and the throttling valve. Consequently, when the pump starts pumping, the piston rod pushes the object to abut the positive limit. The stopped movement of the piston rod will change the pressure in the cylinder that triggers the pressure switch to send a signal to a controlling host to stop the pump.

  • Publication number: 20050016964
Abstract: A device for destroying used syringe needles includes a frequency converter disposed in a housing, and a coil disposed in the housing and connected to output terminals of the frequency converter at two ends so that the frequency converter can, when activated, power the coil with high frequency current for the coil to produce high temperatures; the coil having ring-shaped portions defining a middle hole under a through hole of an upper side of the housing for allowing needles to be passed into via the through hole; thus, used syringe needles can be melted and sterilized by heat of the coil when passed into the middle hole of the coil.

  • Patent number: 6844533
Abstract: An induction heating apparatus seals a container, such as a bottle, with a non-tampering seal. The induction heating apparatus has a concentrator and a coil assembly. The coil assembly includes multiple coil devices. Each coil device includes a bobbin with a central tube and an insulated electrical conductor. The insulated electrical conductor is wound around the central tube of the bobbin and is electrically connected to an alternating current power source. The bobbin is mounted in the concentrator. When alternating current is applied to the insulated electrical conductor, an electromagnetic field is created that will induce in an aluminum foil in the non-tampering seal. The aluminum foil will be heated and the heat in the aluminum foil will be transferred to a layer of heat active polymer in the non-tampering seal, which will quickly bond the non-tampering seal to the bottle.
