    Abstract: A turbocharger controller includes a turbocharger compressor temperature module having a compressor inlet air temperature input, and a turbocharger compressor pressure module including a compressor inlet pressure input and a compressor outlet pressure input. A memory module includes a compressor outlet temperature calibration map and a compressor pressure ratio look-up table. A turbocharger boost pressure ratio control module is operatively connected to the turbocharger compressor temperature module, the turbocharger compressor pressure module, and the memory module. The turbocharger boost pressure ratio control module is configured to selectively compare compressor outlet pressure and compressor inlet pressure with values in the compressor ratio look-up table to determine a turbocharger boost pressure set point establishing a desired compressor outlet temperature.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for additive range reduction are disclosed. A constant may be pre-stored in a look-up table (LUT), and at least one section of the constant may be retrieved from the LUT for generating a product of an input argument and the constant such that a precision of the product may be controlled in any granularity. For a trigonometric function, 2/? is stored in the LUT, and at least one section of 2/? may be retrieved from the LUT. The argument is multiplied with the retrieved sections of 2/?. The retrieved sections are determined to correctly generate the two least significant bits (LSBs) of an integer portion and a scalable number of most significant bits of the multiplication result. An output of the trigonometric function is generated for the argument with a fractional portion of the multiplication result based on two LSBs of the integer portion of the multiplication result.

The related signal conversion device receives the cable control signals from the smart gateway, and converts the cabled control signal into a wireless control signal conforming to the wireless communication function type of the target tradition home device, then transmits the wireless control signal to the target traditional home device.     Abstract: A system and method of operating an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system of a vehicle includes controlling an EGR valve actuable between an EGR enabled position and an EGR disabled position, such that with the EGR valve in the EGR enabled position a portion of exhaust gas emitted from an engine is directed through an EGR cooler for recirculation into the engine, and with the EGR valve in the EGR disabled position the exhaust gas is not recirculated through the engine. An EGR coolant temperature is predicted based on measured engine speed, vehicle speed, outside ambient temperature, and commanded fuel level of the vehicle. The EGR valve is actuated to the EGR disabled position when the predicted EGR coolant temperature is equal or greater than an EGR coolant temperature threshold. The EGR coolant temperature is predicted without direct measurement of engine coolant temperature.
