  • Publication number: 20230347124
Abstract: An insoluble transdermal microneedle patch, includes microneedles and a backing. The microneedles include bases and needlepoints located on the base, and materials made for the microneedles include crosslinked sodium alginate. The backing is connected with the bases, and parts of the backing corresponding to the needlepoints are hollow portions. The microneedle patch can act in the skin for a long time, during it is used for transdermal delivery, drugs can enter skin micropores to be absorbed into a body through pores formed after swelled microneedles acting on the skin absorbs water, thereby increasing a bioavailability of the drugs during the transdermal delivery. After drug administration end, the microneedles are completely removed without increasing a metabolic burden in the body, soluble materials are prevented from being accumulated in the body, and the microneedles have good biological safety. A preparation method of the insoluble transdermal microneedle patch and application thereof are provided.

  • Publication number: 20230310822
Abstract: The present application discloses a coated microneedle with a multilayer structure, including a base, a needle tip on the base, and a functional coating. The functional coating includes a content including a water-soluble polymer material and an active ingredient, and a sustained-release layer wrapping the content. The sustained-release layer covers the needle tip. The coated microneedle can prevent a drug-containing matrix from being quickly dissolved and dispersed, prevent the active ingredient from exuding along with tissues at an action site, and increase the drug intake. The present application further discloses a method for preparing the coated microneedle and a microneedle patch including the coated microneedle.

  • Publication number: 20210178138
Abstract: An implantable sustained-release microneedle patch and a preparation method therefor. The implantable sustained-release microneedle comprises a needle tip, a needle body, and a base. The needle tip comprises a needle tip center layer and a needle tip outer layer. The needle tip center layer is formed of a matrix comprising a biodegradable water-insoluble polymer material. The needle tip outer layer, the needle body, and the base are formed of a matrix comprising a water-soluble polymer material. The microneedle patch comprises the microneedle and absorbs the moisture of the skin when the microneedle acts on skin, so that the base and the needle body are quickly separated from the needle tip within 0.5-2 h. After the base is removed, the needle tip will be left in skin, and the user does not need the patch sticking for a long time to ensure long-term release of a drug in the body.
