  • Patent number: 11933995
Abstract: An optical diffuser includes optically anisotropic molecules arranged in a predefined configuration such that the optical diffuser diffuses first light having a first polarization and transmits second light having a second polarization that is different from the first polarization upon receiving the second light. In addition to polarization selectivity, the optical diffuser may also exhibit wavelength selectivity and/or incident angle selectivity. A method of diffusing light using the optical diffuser and a method of making the optical diffuser are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230144123
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a device for identifying a chemical composition of particulate matter comprised in an aerosol. The device comprises an impactor arranged to divert a received aerosol stream to a sensing stream having an increased particulate matter concentration. The device further comprises an optical flow cell arranged to guide a received sensing stream along an elongate hollow wave guide defining a gas flow path and an optical path following at least in part a common trajectory so as to allow light travelling along said common trajectory to interact with the particulate matter comprised in the sensing stream. A chemical composition of the particulate matter comprised in an aerosol may be determined from a particle specific absorption peak. A particle concentration may be determined from a peak intensity.

  • Patent number: 11252157
Abstract: Various embodiments provide for a pre-validation of various aspects of an application deployment before any resources are provisioned in a user account. Pre-validation can perform checks on aspects such as connectivity and credential-based access for instances to be provisioned in a user account. A determination can also be made as to whether a role exists in the user account that has the appropriate policies and permissions to enable these instances, if provisioned, to have access to external services and resources needed to support the application. These checks can be performed through a launch wizard or deployment service that can collect information though a single console, and can ensure that these checks succeed before the requested instances are provisioned in the user account.

  • Patent number: 11156564
Abstract: A method for detecting dirt on a screen, a device for the same, an electronic device and a computer-readable storage medium are provided. The method includes acquiring a first image of the screen when the screen is displaying a first picture, determining a dirt detection area in the first image with a mask image, and detecting a position of the dirt within the dirt detection area. With the method provided by the embodiments of the disclosure, the positon of dirt on the screen could be detected based on at most two images of the screen. The time for detecting dirt on the screen is greatly shortened, and the efficiency of detection is enhanced.
