  • Patent number: 6752564
Abstract: A pedestrian protection barrier having two half-barriers, one on each side of a pedestrian crosswalk. The half-barrier is constructed of two segment-blocks placed adjacently at a center-line of a roadway. Each segment-block has a lower portion, an upper portion, two side-walls and an exterior wall with an optional hollow cavity therein. When segment-blocks are installed on the roadway, the lower portion of each segment-block is placed into a cavity excavated in the ground of the roadway. The upper portion extends above the ground of the roadway to protect pedestrians. One pair of segment-blocks' side-walls form an angle therebetween. The other pair of the side-walls can be located adjacently and parallel to one another and to the centerline of the roadway. Both half-barriers face away from the crosswalk and towards the incoming traffic.

  • Patent number: 6609401
Abstract: A car wheel anti-theft device having a lug nut and a sleeve installed onto the bolt of the car wheel and an individual wrench to install and remove the lug nut from the bolt. The lug nut and the sleeve each include an engaging flange. When the lug nut is secured within the sleeve, the engaging flange of the sleeve engages the engaging flange of the lug nut, thereby preventing the bolt from being removed and the wheel from being moved. The lug nut has a front surface having a key projection of a particular shape. The individual wrench includes a cylindrical cavity having a bottom surface. The bottom surface has a key opening extending from the bottom surface towards the depth of the individual wrench. The key opening preferably has a shape complementing the particular shape of the key projection of the lug nut.

  • Patent number: 6220179
Abstract: A table contains a top panel supported at opposite sides by a pair of telescopic columns and a system of flexible links providing tension between the top panel and the bottom base. Height adjustment between the TOP and BOTTOM positions is achieved by extending the telescopic columns until the engagement of the spring-loaded pins. Tensioning of the flexible links in the BOTTOM position is achieved by engaging a pulley with a barbed rod extending from the bottom base so that the slack in the flexible links is removed. Once in a TOP position, tilting may be achieved by releasing one of the flexible links from the top panel and engaging the pulley with the barbed rod as if in the BOTTOM position.
