  • Publication number: 20110192918
Abstract: An injector includes an injection nozzle to inject high-pressure fuel, and a main part connected to the injection nozzle in an axis direction. The injection nozzle has a nozzle body, and a cylindrical member having an inner circumference face to support a nozzle needle slidable in the axis direction. The nozzle body has a cylinder to accommodate the nozzle needle and the cylindrical member. The cylindrical member is liquid-tightly connected to the main part in the axis direction. A sliding clearance is defined between the nozzle needle and the cylindrical member, and an annular fuel passage is defined between the cylinder and the cylindrical member.

  • Patent number: 6941908
Abstract: An engine includes, a cylinder head, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, and a first clearance adjusting mechanism for actuating the intake valve. The first clearance adjusting mechanism (1) maintains a first valve clearance when the intake valve and the cylinder head are in a cold state, such that the intake valve closes after a bottom dead center, and (2) maintains a second valve clearance, shorter than the first valve clearance, when a temperature of the intake valve is in a hot state and a temperature of the cylinder head is still in the cold state, after a cold start of the engine, such that an open timing of the intake valve is advanced and a close timing of the intake valve is retarded. The exhaust valve opens and closes at fixed predetermined timings regardless of a temperature of the exhaust valve and the cylinder head.

  • Publication number: 20050056242
Abstract: An internal combustion engine comprises, an intake valve, an exhaust valve, an exhaust gas purifying catalyst, and a valve mechanism which closes the intake valve after a piston reaches the bottom dead center and opens the exhaust valve before the piston reaches the bottom dead center in a hot state of the internal combustion engine, advances the opening timing of the intake valve from the opening timing of the intake valve in the hot state and retards the closing timing of the intake valve from the closing timing of the intake valve in the hot state when the internal combustion engine is cold, and opens the exhaust valve in substantially the same timing as the opening timing of the exhaust valve in the hot state, and closes the exhaust valve at substantially the same timing as closing timing of the exhaust valve in the hot state when the internal combustion engine is cold.

  • Patent number: 4841290
Abstract: In a display unit comprising a plate-shaped display panel with X-Y matrix electrodes consisting of two groups of electrodes, X-axis electrodes and Y-axis electrodes, display signals are applied to the X-Y matrix electrodes, a.c. current is applied to at least one group of electrodes one after another, and the phase of the a.c. current is compared with that of the output of an input pen having means for detecting the magnetic flux induced by the a.c. current, so that the position of the input pen on the display panel is detected from the result of the comparison.
