  • Patent number: 11062151
Abstract: A method for ascertaining a description of a lane which is in an environment of a vehicle includes ascertaining an assignment function that is set up to assign different values of a feature vector different descriptions of a lane. The method also includes ascertaining environment data of the vehicle, where the environment data includes information about a roadway marking and/or about one or more objects in the environment of the vehicle. In addition, the method includes ascertaining a current value of the feature vector on the basis of the environment data, and determining a description of the lane using the assignment function and using the current value of the feature vector.

  • Patent number: 9132732
Abstract: A straddled vehicle is equipped with a charging port structure in which a charging port is fixedly disposed within a recess provided in a wall member. A base end part of a cover member capable of closing the charging port is pivotably supported at a position adjacent to the charging port, and a lid is capable of closing the recess so as to cover the cover member from the outside is pivotably supported on the wall member. A retaining member retains a closed state of the lid in response to the lid being closed. A releasing member is operable so as to release the retention of the closed state of the lid by the retaining member. A coupling member is operable in association with the operation of the retaining member when closing the lid, and pivots the cover member toward the closing side.

  • Patent number: 8505668
Abstract: An electric two/three-wheeled vehicle includes: a battery case which houses a battery supplying electric power to an electric motor; a leg shield which covers, from a front, legs of a rider sitting on a riding seat; a cooling air inlet duct which has a downstream end portion thereof connected to the battery case; and a cooling fan which introduces cooling air into the battery case through the cooling air inlet duct. In the electric two/three-wheeled vehicle, an opening (90) open toward a rear of the vehicle is provided in the leg shield (43), and an upstream end of the cooling air inlet duct (88) is connected to the leg shield (43) in such a manner as to continue to the opening (90). Accordingly, it is possible to cool a battery while preventing entry of dust into a battery case as much as possible.

  • Patent number: 8474566
Abstract: A shaft drive type motorcycle includes a drive shaft for permitting a reduction in the vehicle weight. The shaft drive type motorcycle includes a gear box provided at a rear part of a swing arm with a bearing provided between the gear box and a rear wheel axle. The bearing includes an outer race and balls and an inner race operative provided to rotatably support the rear wheel axle. A presser flange is provided between the rear wheel axle and a rear wheel that includes a hollow cylindrical part pressing the inner race in the axial direction of the rear wheel axle. A flange part is provided as part of the presser flange to which a brake disc is mounted. A labyrinth structure is provided for making it difficult for oil from leaking out of the gear box.
