  • Publication number: 20150183443
Abstract: A damper apparatus (12) as the force generation mechanism mounted between a vehicle body (2) and a bogie (5) includes an attenuation damper (13), an electric damper (14), and a gear apparatus (15). The attenuation damper includes a rod protruding from a cylinder, and generates a damping force by converting motion energy of a forward or backward movement of the rod into heat energy. The electric damper includes a stator, and a movable element linearly movable relative to the stator. The gear apparatus is disposed between the attenuation damper and the electric damper, and can mechanically switch the attenuation damper and the electric damper between a series connection and a parallel connection. The gear apparatus switches a connection state between the attenuation damper and the electric damper according to the condition.

  • Patent number: 7768158
Abstract: A cylindrical linear motor includes a stator and a movable element disposed via a clearance with respect to the stator and movable rectilinearly with respect to the stator. The movable element has a plurality of permanent magnets fixed to a movable element core. The stator salient poles 3b are pitched at ?s and the permanent magnets 11 are pitched at ?p so that a relationship of 3/4<?p/?s<3/2 is established.

  • Publication number: 20100044144
Abstract: Disclosed are a high-damping and high-thrust cylindrical linear motor and a motor-driven power steering device. A stator includes three-phase stator and a stator core. A slider includes a slider core and permanent magnets. The stator core includes stator-core salient poles, two auxiliary poles and yoke units with a small poles on its surface of the side of the slider, the auxiliary poles being deployed at both ends of the stator-core salient poles, the yoke units configuring a magnetic circuit in cooperation with the stator core and the auxiliary poles. The magnetic circuit is shared among the three phases. Polarities of magnets of the slider become an identical polarity, each of the plurality of permanent magnets being positioned at a position which is opposed to each of the plurality of small poles included in one stator-core salient pole out of the plurality of stator-core salient poles.

  • Publication number: 20080001483
Abstract: The present invention provides a cylindrical linear motor that can develop great thrust and reduce thrust pulsations. The cylindrical linear motor includes a stator 1 and a movable element 10 disposed via a clearance with respect to the stator 1 and movable rectilinearly with respect to the stator 1. The stator 1 includes a stator core 3 having stator salient poles 3b, and a three-phase stator coil winding 2 inserted within the slots formed in the stator core 3. The movable element 10 has a plurality of permanent magnets 11 fixed to a movable element core 12. The cylindrical linear motor is constructed so that when the stator salient poles 3b are pitched at ?s and the permanent magnets 11 are pitched at ?p, a relationship of 3/4<?p/s<3/2 is established.

  • Patent number: 7219781
Abstract: An electromagnetic suspension system comprises a universal joint mechanism for permitting radial movement of a cylinder relative to a center yoke while preventing axial movement of the cylinder relative to the center yoke. Since the cylinder is capable of radial movement relative to the center yoke, if a lateral force acts on the cylinder, the lateral force acting on a hydraulic damper does not have any significant effect on the center yoke 17 with respect to radial movement or rocking movement thereof. Therefore, excessive sliding friction does not occur in a center-yoke dry metal and a piston-rod dry metal, thereby ensuring smooth axial relative displacement between the center yoke and an outer yoke.

  • Publication number: 20060181158
Abstract: A cylindrical linear motor, an electromagnetic suspension, and a vehicle using the same, which can generate a large thrust and reduce torque pulsations and cogging torque. The cylindrical linear motor comprises a stator and a slider disposed with a gap left relative to the stator and being linearly movable relative to the stator. The stator comprises a stator core having stator salient poles, and 3-phase stator windings inserted in slots formed in the stator core. The slider comprises a plurality of permanent magnets fixed to a slider core. The motor satisfies ?p:?s=9:9±1 where ?s is a pitch of the stator salient poles and ?p is a pitch of the permanent magnets.

  • Patent number: 5949683
Abstract: A robot control apparatus does not require an expert to perform programming, prepare teaching data or reprogram the motions of a work robot. The controller for the robot accepts the teaching point instructed by a beginner operator, and computes the start and end points in a track from the input teaching points. The controller also computes target start and end points in each of the passes in the track based on the current track points and the overspray width input by the operator and automatically allows for the overspray width. The control apparatus therefore facilitates operation of painting tasks which conventionally required a labor-intensive effort in reprogramming by an expert operator.
