  • Publication number: 20110278783
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus to perform stapling includes a sheet stacking portion receiving a sheet for a sheet bundle and a positioning member against which an end of the sheet is abutted to position the sheet bundle. The positioning member is movable to adjust a stapling position on the sheet bundle where a staple processing portion performs a stapling process. After the stapling process is performed, a fold processing portion folds the sheet bundle in two. One of two surfaces of the folded sheet bundle slides on a conveyance guide member while a conveyance guide member guides the folded sheet bundle. The stapling process is performed while the stapling position is previously moved, by a predetermined distance, to an opposite area side of the sheet bundle opposite to an area that becomes the one of two surfaces of the folded sheet bundle when the sheet bundle is folded in two.

  • Publication number: 20110133392
Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus capable of improving sheet processing performance and productivity is provided. While sheets are conveyed in a piled state toward a rear-end stopper, displacement is produced between the sheets by a pair of discharge rollers. Even if adhesion occurs between the sheets during conveyance thereof, the adhesion between the sheets can be removed before the sheets come into contact with the rear-end stopper.

  • Patent number: 7891661
Abstract: A sheet stacking device includes a liftable/lowerable sheet stacking portion on which sheets to be ejected are stackable. The sheet stacking portion moves downward as an amount of stacked sheets increases. The sheet stacking device includes a movable member disposed below the sheet stacking portion with a space therebetween, and a detecting portion configured to output a signal in accordance with a position of the movable member. Ejection of the sheet to the sheet stacking portion is stopped on the basis of the signal output from the detecting portion in accordance with downward movement of the movable member.

  • Patent number: 7766326
Abstract: The sheet conveyance apparatus includes a controller which controls a moving unit. The moving unit moves a sheet conveyance unit for conveying a sheet toward a direction intersecting with a sheet conveyance direction. The controller performs the control such that a moving speed of a shift moving unit is reduced when a shift amount of the sheet discharged from an image forming apparatus main body is small. Therefore, generation of a noise and vibration can be suppressed to save electric power consumption. When the shift amount of the sheet is large, the moving speed of the shift moving unit can be increased to shorten an operation time necessary to the movement.

  • Publication number: 20100164162
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sheet stacking device comprising a discharging portion, a moving portion that holds a downstream end portion of the sheet, a stacking portion and a control portion that controls the discharging portion and the moving portion. The control portion controls at least one of the discharging portion and a moving portion so that the movement velocity of the moving portion is higher than the sheet discharge velocity of the discharging portion, and separates the sheet from the moving portion by using a velocity difference between the movement velocity and the sheet discharge velocity.

  • Publication number: 20090134572
Abstract: A stacker includes a plurality of sheet stacking units individually movable upward and downward. Sheets are selectively stacked onto either of the stacker trays. To remove the sheets stacked on one of the stacker trays, a door is opened. In a state where the door is open, the stacker trays moved by respective elevation units are movable only downward. In this manner, accidental upward movement of each of the stacker trays caused by a malfunction of a motor or the like is regulated, whereby damage to the stacker is prevented.
