  • Patent number: 6294578
Abstract: An insecticidal and miticidal composition is provided which comprises at least one fatty acid ester selected from the group consisting of glycerin monooleate, glycerin monolinolate, glycerin monocaprylate, glycerin mono/dioleate, glycerin di/trioleate, glycerin mono/dilinolate, glycerin mono/diricinoleate, glycerin diacetomonolaurate, sorbitan laurate, sorbitan oleate, diglycerin laurate, diglycerin oleate, diglycerin monolaurate, diglycerin monooleate, tetraglycerin oleate, hexaglycerin laurate, decaglycerin laurate, propylene glycol monolaurate, and propylene glycol monooleate; and a nonionic surfactant. The insecticidal and miticidal composition does not have phytotoxicity but has satisfactory long lasting effects even if it is used in a lower concentration.

  • Patent number: 5756128
Abstract: Disclosed are an agricultural chemical preparation which comprises 100 parts by weight of a fatty acid ester of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol, 10 to 2000 parts by weight of an agricultural effective component and 10 to 400 parts by weight of a surfactant and a method for preparing the same. The agricultural chemical preparation sufficiently shows its efficacy even at a low concentration and exhibits not only preventive effect, but also curative effect.

  • Patent number: 5123950
Abstract: A coated agricultural chemical comprises a powdery effective component of an agricultural chemical coated with at least one member selected from the group consisting of esters of aliphatic acids and aliphatic polyols and phospholipids in an amount of 0.1 to 3 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the effective component. The agricultural chemicals exhibit high efficiency even at a concentration lower than that conventionally used and low phytotoxicity to plants.

  • Patent number: 4599233
Abstract: It was found that sodium bicarbonate has a fungicidal activity and at the same time that the compound has a defect as a fungicide in that it is inferior in adhesiveness and spreadability and for this reason cannot be used alone as a fungicide. It is further found that an agricultural and horticultural fungicide having lasting fungicidal activity against plant diseases in a control value of over 90% can be obtained by using sodium bicarbonate in combination with a surfactant, particularly a food emulsifier, and further that the combination shows extensive effect in preventing fruit storage diseases. As all components of the combination are substances approved as food additives throughout the world, the fungicide does not cause pollution or present any hazard to human health.
