  • Publication number: 20240137075
Abstract: A reflect array that sets a reflection angle of a radio wave to an angle that is different from an angle of specular reflection. The reflect array includes a plurality of cells arranged in an array. Each of the plurality of cells includes at least two main resonant elements and a parasitic resonant element coupled to the at least two main resonant elements. The parasitic resonant element is configured to adjust a resonant frequency of the parasitic resonant element and adjust a reflection phase of a surface of the reflect array by adjusting a resonant frequency of the at least two main resonant elements each adjacent to the parasitic resonant element, to which the parasitic resonant element is coupled.

  • Patent number: 5878747
Abstract: A condom prophylactic against AIDS infection coated with acidic polysaccharides is provided which has an antiviral action and a method of the manufacture thereof. The acidic polysaccharides can be polysaccharides, protein-bound saccharides and glycolipids such as extracts from sea-weeds, extracts from Procaryomycota and Eucaryomycota, carrageenan and so on which have acidic groups such as sulfuric acid group in a portion of polysaccharides. A condom is coated with a solution of said acidic polysaccharides, and optionally with a lubricant. AIDS infection can be prevented without side effect by using a condom of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 4338943
Abstract: An instrument for induction of labor comprising a tubular member or catheter being closed at its forward or leading end and open at its rearward or trailing end; there being an inflatable bag or balloon in enveloping relationship to the forward end portion of the catheter and being engaged in leak-proof manner thereto. At least one orifice is provided adjacent the forward end of the catheter within the bag for effecting communication between the said bag and the catheter for the introduction of liquid into the bag for inflating same to a predetermined extent dictated by the presentation of the fetus. A method for inducing labor comprising inserting into the uterus a liquid inflatable bag mounted upon the forward end portion of a tubular member with the bag being presented between the uterine wall and the amniotic membrane.
