  • Patent number: 7525572
Abstract: A shake sensor outputs an analog shake detection signal representative of a shake of a camera body. An amplifier operates for amplifying the analog shake detection signal to generate an analog amplification-resultant signal. The analog shake detection signal and the analog amplification-resultant signal are converted into a digital shake detection signal and a first digital amplification-resultant signal, respectively. A signal value represented by the digital shake detection signal is amplified on a digital basis to generate a second digital amplification-resultant signal. A decision is made as to whether or not the signal value represented by the first digital amplification-resultant signal remains greater than a predetermined reference value during at least a prescribed time interval. One is selected from the first and second digital amplification-resultant signals in response to the result of the decision. A shake corrective signal is generated in response to the selected signal.

  • Patent number: 7509255
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a speech signal includes a receiver, a speech signal decoder, a speech rate conversion information detector, and a speech rate converting processor. The receiver receives multiplexed signal of information concerning controls and programs, including speech packets through a transmission line. The decoder decodes the speech signal of packets out of the received signals. The detector detects speech rate conversion execution information in the received signals. The processor subjects the decoded speech signal to a speech rate conversion process if the speech rate conversion execution information indicates that the speech signal has not been subjected to the speech rate conversion process on the transmitting end, and which does not subject the decoded speech signal to the speech rate conversion process if the speech rate conversion execution information indicates that the speech signal has been subjected to the speech rate conversion process on the transmitting end.

  • Publication number: 20050075860
Abstract: A transmitter partitions a speech signal into packets and multiplexes the packets, and concurrently sends speech rate conversion execution information as information accompanying the speech signal. The speech rate conversion execution information indicates whether or not each of the speech signals is a signal of a speech whose rate has already been converted on a transmitting end or in a further previous source of speeches. A speech signal processing apparatus detects the speech rate conversion execution information in the multiplexed and received signal in a speech rate conversion information detector. A speech rate converting processor determines whether or not a selected speech signal of a decoded and selected program which has been outputted from a speech signal decoder has already been subjected to a speech rate conversion process before the transmission.

  • Patent number: 6266477
Abstract: A data signal recording and playback method and system that can determine whether the recording medium being used is a high-performance recording medium for recording and playing back both digital and analog signals, or a standard-performance medium, and selecting its recording specifications accordingly. When recording/playing back digital data signals and analog data signals received as inputs to the system, if a high-performance magnetic tape is identified, the system selects for recording, one of the three input signals: a digital data signal, an analog data signal obtained through D/A conversion of a digital data signal, or an analog data signal input as such. If the recording medium being used is a standard-performance magnetic tape, the system selects for recording, either an analog data signal obtained through D/A conversion of a digital data signal, or an analog data signal input as such.

  • Patent number: 5767705
Abstract: A frequency converting circuit has a phase divider, a switching circuit, and switching pulse generator. The phase divider divides a phase of a first input signal and outputting m-units of channel signals having a same frequency but different phases shifted 2.pi./m by 2.pi./m radian respectively, where m is a three or more natural number except 2.sup.n (n: a natural number). The m-units of the channel signals are switched by the switching circuit to output switched channel signals. In response to a second input signal having a frequency higher than that of the first input signal, the switching pulse generator generates switching pulse signals, and switches and outputs the m-units of channel signals having different phases shifted 2.pi./m by 2.pi./m radian for each constant period, by controlling the switching circuit based on the switching pulse signals.

  • Patent number: 5583648
Abstract: Whether or not a luminance signal or an HD input signal is input to a picture signal recording apparatus is detected, and a recording mode is determined according to the detection of the luminance signal in a recording mode determining unit. In cases where the luminance signal is detected, first and second color difference signals of the HD input signal are alternately deleted on every scanning line. Thereafter, the luminance signal pertaining to odd-numbered scanning lines and the first color difference signal are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line, and the luminance signal pertaining to even-numbered scanning lines and the second color difference signal are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line. In contrast, in cases where the luminance signal is not detected, a luminance signal and first and second color difference signals of a normal picture signal input to the apparatus are time-compressed and multiplexed on every scanning line.

  • Patent number: 4979025
Abstract: A carrier chrominance signal processing circuit comprises first through fourth circuits. The first circuit detects an edge of color in an input carrier chrominance signal. The second circuit holds color information on the carrier chrominance signal in a vicinity of the edge of color. The third circuit produces a control signal having a predeterined pulse width in response to the detected edge of color. The fourth circuit selects a held color information when the control signal is produced, and selects the carrier chrominance signal when no control signal is produced, so that a steepened carrier chrominance signal is outputted from the fourth circuit.

  • Patent number: 4630131
Abstract: A recording signal generation system for a color video signal which is suitable for high density recording in a magnetic recording and playback apparatus. In each horizontal scan period which includes an effective horizontal scan period and a horizontal blanking period arranged serially on the time axis, a luminance signal is positioned in the effective horizontal scan period while, in the horizontal blanking period, compressed color signals generated by time-axis compressing color signals having a duration equal to the effective horizontal scan period by a predetermined ratio are disposed. The luminance signal and compressed color signals are time-division multiplexed. Special burst pilot signals are superposed on the multiplex signal each of which is separable from the compressed color signals and alternate with the other at an interval of one horizontal scan period, thereby discriminating the color signals from each other while indicating a position of horizontal blanking period.
