  • Publication number: 20080190316
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electric detonator containing no primary charge or igniting charge, having a simple structure, and capable of directly igniting a base charge of secondary explosive. A detonator of the present invention includes a cylindrical tube closed at one end, a base charge contained in the tube near the closed end thereof, and an ignition device inserted from an open end of the tube and accommodated near the open end. The ignition device is a semiconductor bridge device including a laminate layer and electrode pads. The laminate layer includes layers of a reactive metal and a reactive insulator. The base charge is, for example, pentaerythritol tetranitrate.

  • Patent number: 6911107
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a piezoelectric film type actuator, which is provided with a piezoelectric film and an oscillating plate structural member bonded therefor, comprises the steps of forming a piezoelectric film on an intermediate transfer member; bonding the piezoelectric film on the intermediate member and the oscillating plate structural member; and peeling off the intermediate transfer member from the piezoelectric film. Through the steps thus arranged, it becomes possible to enhance the bonding strength and durability of the piezoelectric film and the oscillating plate structural member without using a bonding agent in the manufacture of a highly reliable piezoelectric film type actuator.

  • Patent number: 5802194
Abstract: A speaker system has a first baffle (2) supporting a first speaker unit for producing sounds in a first frequency range (low frequencies), at least one second baffle (27L), (27R) supporting a second speaker unit for producing sounds in a second frequency range which is higher than the first frequency range (middle and/or high frequencies), the second baffles (27L), (27R) being smaller than the first baffles (2). The second baffle (27L), (27R) are spaced a predetermined distance from the first baffle (2). The speaker system has a reduced baffle effect, and increases direct sounds radiated directly from the speaker units, as compared with indirect sounds radiated backwards from a baffle, thereby improving frequency characteristics in the middle frequencies and providing excellent sound image localization.
