  • Patent number: 8536471
Abstract: A pressure sensitive stylus, comprises a movable tip that recedes within a housing of the stylus in response to user applied contact pressure, wherein a displacement of the tip along an axis on which it recedes is a function of the applied contact pressure, and an optical sensor enclosed within the housing for optically sensing the displacement of the tip and for providing output in response to the sensing.

  • Publication number: 20130088465
Abstract: A digitizer system includes a stylus comprising a plurality of transmitters for transmitting signals, wherein each of the plurality of transmitters are distanced from one another by a defined distance, a digitizer sensor operable for sensing signals transmitted by the plurality of transmitters, and circuitry associated with the digitizer sensor for tracking a projected location on the digitizer sensor of each of the plurality of transmitters based on the signals sensed, and for tracking a geometric relationship between the projected locations.

  • Publication number: 20130048896
Abstract: A piston-type flush valve comprises a housing configured with a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port being in flow communication with one another through a flow port, and a piston assembly axially displaceable between a normally closed position in which the flow port is sealed, and an open position. The piston assembly comprises a control chamber which responsive to pressure differential is configured for displacing a sealing assembly from an open position in which fluid flow is facilitated through the flow port, into the normally closed position, and an actuator configured for selectively draining the control chamber into the fluid outlet port, resulting in displacement of the piston assembly into the open position. The control chamber is sealed from the fluid inlet port by a control chamber seal, sealingly displaceable against an anti-friction sleeve articulated to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20080238885
Abstract: A digitizer system comprises at least one object incorporating an electronic tag configured for radiating at least one modulated signal and at least one second signal; a digitizer sensor configured for detecting the at least one second signal while the object is positioned on or over the digitizer sensor; and circuitry configured for identifying the object based on modulation of the at least one modulated signal and for determining a position of the object on or over the digitizer based on the detected second signal on a portion of the digitizer sensor.

  • Patent number: 7080817
Abstract: A valve of the pilot type including a housing with a circular cylinder end for mounting in a valve base. The housing has an inlet port, an outlet port, an internal cavity, and a flexible membrane dividing the cavity into a flow chamber and control chamber. The inlet port is in constant communication with the flow chamber, while the outlet port is in communication with the flow chamber via a valve seat formed in the housing opposite the membrane. The outlet port is formed at the face of the cylinder end. An annular seal is disposed on that face, around the outlet port, such that when the valve is mounted into the valve base, the seal is urged axially to a face of the valve base providing fluid-tight communication between the outlet port and an outlet opening in the valve base. The inlet port is formed at the lateral surface of the cylinder end, so as to provide inlet flow transverse to the axis of the cylinder end.

  • Publication number: 20050184261
Abstract: An integral flexible diaphragm for a valve of the pilot type comprising a housing with a flow chamber and a control chamber connected by a pilot channel, and a control member for closing the pilot channel. The diaphragm separates the flow chamber from the control chamber and is disposed opposite a valve seat to control the flow through the valve. The diaphragm has a peripheral annular part and a central part both tightly fixed to the housing, and an intermediate annular part movable to close the valve seat. The pilot channel of the valve is obtained through the central part, so that a travel distance of the control member is independent of a travel distance of the intermediate annular part for closing the valve seat.
