    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media may be operable to facilitate switching the video and audio output to a different service when a current service is not presentable. When outputting content from a first service, a multimedia device may identify and switch to an output of content from a second service when the content from the first service becomes unpresentable. The multimedia device may continue to monitor the quality or presentability of the content from the first service, and the multimedia device may switch from an output of content form the second service to an output of content from the first service when the determination is made that the content from the first service is presentable.

    Abstract: A system and method providing a radar-based motion-sensing user interface suitable for issuing commands to a device or system as a consequence of the detection of user motion, whole-body gestures and/or hand gestures. The system and method derive a three-dimensional representation of a user within a defined space from two-dimensional data obtained from multiple reflected radar signals. The three-dimensional representation is then processed to recognize a human body, and in particular the movement and/or position of the body and/or body parts and joints. The recognized movement and/or position are then compared to a known list of gestures and movements that are associated with particular device/system commands. If one or more of the recognized movements and/or positions conforms with a command movement/gesture, the associated command is issued to the device or system being controlled.

    Abstract: A system and method providing a video content acquisition system adapted to determine content acquisition delays as a function of the source of the content. In particular, the system and method minimize delays experienced by users requesting video content via a client device. This is accomplished by tailoring the acquisition delay time associated with a particular request for content based upon the source of the signal from which the requested content is to be obtained (broadcast, satellite, cable, internet, etc.), as well as the type of signal requested and/or rate at which the source signal provides content (symbols/sec, bits/second, etc.). This minimizes the amount of time a user may mistakenly perceive a client device to be unresponsive or incapable of providing the requested video content.

When the second unicable message is detected, the first receiver delays transmission of the first unicable message by a time period. When the second unicable message is not detected, the first receiver transmits the first unicable message on the unicable line.
