Thus, the lighting apparatus provides light only for the periods needed, i.e., during the actual camera operation.

Abstract: An integrated flash head having a ring flash for taking shadowless pictures and a bar flash for taking contoured pictures. The bar flash is pivotably mounted on the ring flash housing and the ring flash housing is movable relative to the camera lens to change the orientation of the bar relative to the camera lens. An electrical circuit is provided for selectively activating either the ring flash or bar flash.

Abstract: Switching circuits are disclosed which activate lighting in conjunction with the operation of a video recorder. The switching circuits employ signalling means such as relays, photo emitters or transistors to detect current flow in the video recorder motor circuit. Circuit elements receive the signal and activate a light. If the motor circuit is inoperative, the light remains off.

Abstract: A photoflash apparatus is disclosed in which a flash unit is selectively connected to adapter units through a coupling mechanism which includes a coupling pin in a mounting structure of one unit engaged by a slide plate in a mounting structure of the other unit. The mounting structures are resiliently stressed and interengaged in a manner such as to obtain a highly reliable and tight connection. The coupling mechanism is operable by a door of a battery compartment, or alternatively through outside actuating members, and the mechanism may be locked and unlocked as desired.

Abstract: The present invention has two photometric circuits, namely photointegrating circuits, one of them is for day light photography and other is for flash photography. Normally the photointegrating circuit for flash photography is retained inoperatable, but when a flash device is mounted on the camera of this invention, the photointegrating circuit for day light photography is made inoperatable and the photointegrating circuit for flash photography is made operatable.

Abstract: A computer type electronic photoflash consisting of a main photoflash unit having photoflash emission and photoflash light volume control functions and a plurality of adapters connectable thereto. Each of said adapters is used with a photographic camera for which an electronic photoflash of special make and design is to be used exclusively. Each adapter serves for relaying electrical signals between the camera and the main photoflash unit and has an electric circuit adapted for this purpose. Thus, the number of the adapters is selected to be equal to the number of different descriptions of the photographic cameras for which respective electronic photoflashes of special make and design are to be used exclusively.

Abstract: An electronic photo flash capable of being used in cameras which are constructed so that only the special flash of the trade name "Flip Flash" is used as an artificial light source. The electronic photo flash has a terminal board to be plugged into the flash socket which is for mounting the flash of such camera. With the apparatus of the present invention, it is possible to check whether or not the terminal board has been plugged positively into the flash socket by indicator means whose visual state will change to provide an indication of a positive connection.
