  • Publication number: 20150376568
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a method for introducing a target substance into undifferentiated cells, and a carrier therefor, whereby the target substance can be specifically introduced into the undifferentiated cells by contacting the undifferentiated cells with an rBC2LCN-target substance fusion product in which rBC2LCN lectin is fused to the target substance. Particularly, an rBC2LCN-toxin fusion product in which rBC2LCN lectin is fused to a toxin functioning in cells or its domain having the ability to kill cells functions as an agent for eliminating undifferentiated stem cells and can be administered into a medium after inducing the differentiation of the stem cells to reliably kill only the stem cells in an undifferentiated state.

Abstract: A fuel vapor processing apparatus may include a canister, a closing valve provided in a vapor passage connecting the canister and the fuel tank, an actuator coupled to the movable valve member, and a control device coupled to the actuator. The control device may perform a learning control, in which a valve opening start position is learned based on a stroke distance of the movable valve member, which is given at the time when an internal pressure of the fuel tank is reduced by a predetermined pressure value while the moving distance of the movable valve member is changed such that (a) the movable valve member moves from the reference position to a learning start position at a first speed in a valve opening direction and (b) the movable valve member moves further from the learning start position at a second speed in the valve opening direction.

  • Publication number: 20150111218
Abstract: Provided are a method for accurately evaluating the differentiation status of stem cells by selectively staining only stem cells in an undifferentiated state, and a method for positively isolating only stem cells in an undifferentiated state. Specifically provided is a method for determining differentiation of a cell comprising a step of contacting a test cell with a probe comprising protein (A) or (B) below and a step of detecting the presence of binding of the probe to the test cell. The method for determining differentiation of a cell is capable of detecting the presence or absence of an undifferentiated stem cell in test cells by using a probe that specifically reacts with undifferentiated stem cells and detecting the presence of bonding to the test cell.

  • Publication number: 20150076897
Abstract: In a method of controlling a brake system, a basic control to operate an electric vacuum pump is performed when a booster internal pressure, i.e., an actual pressure of a negative pressure chamber of a brake booster, is larger than a target booster internal pressure, i.e., a target pressure in the negative pressure chamber. The electric vacuum pump is not operated under a predetermined condition even when the booster internal pressure is larger than the target booster internal pressure.

  • Patent number: 8034217
Abstract: A liquid condensation system heats a liquid raw material under a decompressed circumstance and evaporates a volatile component from a liquid surface to condense the liquid raw material. Therefore, the liquid condensation system includes: liquid condensers, each of which condenses the liquid raw material; a vacuum pump that is in communication with the liquid condensers; and a warm water circulation system as a heating source that heats the liquid raw material in the liquid condensers. The volatile component evaporated in the liquid condensers is led to the outside of the liquid condensers through vapor lines. The condensed liquid that is not evaporated in the liquid condensers is led to the outside of the liquid condensers through condensed-liquid lines. Condensed-liquid-line adjusting valves are interposed on the condensed-liquid lines, and heaters are attached to the condensed-liquid lines. A control unit controls the heaters and the condensed-liquid-line adjusting valves.

  • Publication number: 20110076200
Abstract: It is made possible to scale up the throughput of a chemical plant using microreactors. The chemical plant has a liquid sending line communicating with a raw material tank at a bifurcation of raw material and a means for detecting the flow of raw material and a control valve for adjusting the flow located in the line. In each branch line to each of the multiple microreactors connected in parallel, there are provided a means for monitoring the flow rate of raw material and a means for adjusting this flow rate. A control apparatus monitors the flow rate in each liquid sending line and adjusts the quantity of liquid sent from each control valve and each pump to avoid the influence of an air bubble or deposit in each line.

  • Publication number: 20110046243
Abstract: A multi-parallel processing emulsification machine excellent in ease of priming and cleaning the interior of flow paths, capable of also coping with a liquid that precipitates is provided. A component through which a continuous phase to be the solvent of emulsion flows is stacked over a component through which a disperse phase to be the solute of the emulsion flows. Further, a component through which the produced emulsion flows is stacked thereover to form a microfluidic device for emulsification. When they are stacked together, multiple minute cross-shaped globule production portions are formed and in these globule production portions, the disperse phase flows from downward to upward. The continuous phase merges into them from left and right to form a sheath flow in which the continuous phase encircles the circumference of the disperse phase. In the sheath flow, the disperse phase is divided and turned into globules by a difference in velocity of flow between the continuous phase and the disperse phase.
