    Assignee: Colgate Palmolive Company
    Inventors: Claude Blanvalet, Yves Lambremont
  • Patent number: 5861367
Abstract: An improvement is described in the liquid crystal composition or the microemulsion compositions, which is especially effective in the removal of oily and greasy soil and having an evidenced grease release effect, contains an anionic detergent, an ethoxylated glycerol type compound, a hydrocarbon ingredient, and water which comprises the use of a water-insoluble odoriferous perfume as the essential hydrocarbon ingredient in a proportion sufficient to form a dilute o/w microemulsion composition containing, by weight, 1% to 20% of an anionic detergent, 0.1 to 50% of a cosurfactant, 0.1% to 10% of the ethoxylated glycerol type compound, 0 to 1.0% of an aldehyde, 0.4% to 10% of perfume and the balance being water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 1996
Date of Patent: January 19, 1999
    Assignee: Colgate Palmolive Company
Inventors: Claude Blanvalet, Myriam Mondin, Guy Broze, Barbara Thomas, Yves Lambremont
  • Patent number: 5707952
Abstract: An acidic thickened composition which is sprayable and readily clings to vertical walls and is effective in removing heavy encrusted lime scale and soap scum.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 24, 1996
Date of Patent: January 13, 1998
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Company
    Inventors: Yves Lambremont, Claude Blanvalet
  • Patent number: 5585034
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous gelled cleaning composition which is useful for the removal of grease or tar without any mechanical action. In particular, the instant compositions are derived from three liquid phases which merge together at the tricritical point to form one continuum forming the gelled aqueous cleaning composition, wherein the three phases incorporate at least a polar solvent, a non-polar solvent or weakly polar solvent and a water soluble or water low molecular weight water dispersible amphiphile and the composition contains a noncrosslinked polymer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 25, 1995
Date of Patent: December 17, 1996
    Assignee: Colgate-Palmolive Co.
Inventors: Regis Lysy, Diclier Dormal, Louis O. DeGuertechin, Yves Lambremont
  • Patent number: 5133885
Abstract: Environmentally safe, stable, pourable aqueous fabric softening compositions based on the combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and an amido amine. The softener combination comprises from as little as 1% and up to 60% and preferably 2 to 20% by weight of the composition. Methods for making the composition are also described. Softening performance is outstanding and the compositions are simple to prepare, even the more highly concentrated forms. The softener compositions are primarily intended for use in the rinse cycle of an automatic washing machine.
