  • Patent number: 10143199
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of pre-rinsing laundry and treating other surfaces employing a composition that can kill bedbug eggs. The composition includes an anionic compound and is at pH just above neutral, e.g., about 7 to about 9.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 20, 2012
Date of Patent: December 4, 2018
    Assignee: Ecolab USA Inc.

  • Patent number: 7530361
Abstract: A detergent composition is provided according to the invention. The detergent composition includes a branched alcohol alkoxylate having the formula: wherein R1 is a C2-C20 alkyl, R2 is H or a C1-C4 alkyl, n is 2-20, and m is 1-40, and a compatibililizing surfactant. The compatibilizing surfactant can be selected so that an aqueous composition containing 5 wt. % of the branched alcohol alkoxylate and at least 2.5 wt. % of the compatibilizing surfactant provides a clear aqueous composition. A clear aqueous composition refers to an aqueous composition that is free of haze visible to the naked eye. In general, a clear aqueous composition resembles a composition containing only water. A method for using the detergent composition is provided.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20060058209
Abstract: A rinse agent composition is provided. The rinse agent composition includes a sheeting agent for promoting draining of sheets of water from a surface, and a humectant. The humectant is a component which retains at least 5 wt.% water when the humectant has been contained at an equilibrium of 50% relative humidity and room temperature. The sheeting agent and humectant are preferably provided at a ratio of between about 5:1 and about 1:3. A method for rinsing a substrate surface in the presence of high solids containing water is provided. High solids containing water is generally considered to be water having a total dissolved solids content in excess of 200 ppm.

  • Publication number: 20050121058
Abstract: A product dispenser (10) for dispensing a use solution from a solid product includes a chamber (11) having a front (12), a back (15), and a bottom (16). The chamber (11) defines a cavity (20) configured and arranged to receive a solid product and a diluent. An inlet (21) proximate the back (15) of the chamber (11) is configured and arranged to receive the diluent, and an outlet portion (26) is in fluid communication with the inlet (21). The outlet portion (26) spans a length of the back (15) and includes a plurality of apertures (27) along the length of the back (15). The plurality of apertures (27) allows diluent to fan out along the back (15), flow down the back (15), and cascade evenly with relatively even pressure from proximate the back (15) toward proximate the front (12) of the chamber (11). A use solution outlet (32) proximate the bottom (16) and the front (12) of the chamber (11) allows diluent and a use solution to exit the chamber (11).
