Abstract: A manually operated portable animal excrement collector is disclosed which facilitates the even collection of animal fecal matter from the ground. Variations of the disclosed tool comprise means for gathering, enclosing, and disposing of the fecal matter with a disposable receptacle detachably affixable to the elongated tool to prevent a human operator from having to clean the tool and interact with gathered fecal matter. The present invention discloses means of manually operating a lid hingedly connected to the detachable receptacle of the tool.
