Abstract: A device for implementing an antenna Ping function includes a primary module and a secondary module. The secondary module includes a secondary controller, a multiplexer, a first On-Off Keying (OOK) modem, a second OOK modem connected to the secondary controller and a corresponding multiplexer, and a plurality of antenna radio frequency (RF) ports. The multiplexer is connected to the plurality of antenna RF ports. The primary module is connected to the secondary controller through the first OOK modem. The primary module receives a Ping command transmitted by a base station, generates a Ping message, and transmits the Ping message to the secondary controller through the first OOK modem. The secondary controller transmits the received Ping message to the second OOK modem. The second OOK modem transmits the Ping message to a corresponding antenna RF port through the multiplexer. The antenna RF port feeds back a signal to the base station.

The administrator password may be updated. A first password tied to the administrator password may be identified. A first updated password is generated by concatenating a character string to the administrator password. The character string may be generated based on a password policy for the first password. The first password may then be updated to the first updated password.

The recovery coordination instructions determine integrity of the recovery information as stored on the memory and. In response to determining that the recovery information lacks integrity, the recovery coordination instructions initiate recovery of the firmware subsystem using a backup of the recovery information and perform recovery of the firmware subsystem using an update to the firmware subsystem.

One example method includes system management mode locking a first pre-extensible firmware interface initialization (PEI) region and a driver execution environment (DXE) region of a shared serial peripheral (SPI) chip of a BIOS of a computer. A second PEI region of the shared SPI chip is chipset locked. A record in a system management random access memory associated with a video option read only memory (ROM) is created. The video option ROM is loaded. The first PEI region is updated, and periodic graphical updates regarding the progress of updating the first PEI region are provided using the video option ROM.
