  • Patent number: 8809295
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising an inhibitor of the expression or activity of SH3 domain containing ring finger 2 (SH3RF2) for preventing or treating cancers. More specifically, since the SH3RF2 protein, of which the expression level increases in various cancer tissues, binds to PAK4, which is a cancer-associated gene, to regulate an apoptosis inhibitory function of the PAK4 protein by ubiquitination activity of SH3RF2 RING domain, cancer cells, in which the expression of SH3RF2 is inhibited, sensitively respond to the induction of apoptosis to promote apoptosis and reduce in vivo tumorigenicity, such that the inhibitor of the expression or activity of SHRF2 can be useful as a composition for preventing or treating cancers.

  • Publication number: 20130274237
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition including chlorophyll a as an active ingredient for preventing and treating Th2-mediated immunological diseases. The composition of the present invention is very effective for preventing and treating atopic dermatitis which is one of the Th2-mediated immunological diseases. Chlorophyll a is a natural ingredient used to treat atopic dermatitis and is advantageous in that it causes absolutely no side effects in humans. Further, the composition of the present invention may be applied as a medical composition including chlorophyll a, which has preventive and therapeutic effects for atopic dermatitis, as a food composition, as a cosmetic composition, and for various other products using chlorophyll a, and has excellent marketability.

  • Patent number: 8349335
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing chlorophyll-a and chlorin e6. This invention extracts chlorophyll-a by use of undisrupted chlorella cells themselves, thereby preparing chlorin e6 from the chlorophyll-a extract. The high contents of chlorophyll-a may be obtained by the pretreatment procedure of chlorella cells themselves selected in this invention. The present method is performed according to relatively simple procedures, and is suitable in the mass production of chlorin e6.
