  • Patent number: 10810840
Abstract: A bingo gaming system, machine, and method include a main bingo game, a feature bingo game, a main reel game associated with the main bingo game, and a feature reel game associated with the feature bingo game. The main reel game simulates outcomes of the main bingo game. The feature reel game simulates outcomes of the feature bingo game. A feature bingo game may be triggered by a main bingo game outcome. Before the feature bingo game begins, a player may be given an opportunity to select a volatility option for the feature bingo game. The volatility selection may impact the probability of winning the feature bingo game (and/or feature reel game), as well as the reward(s) associated with winning the feature bingo game (and/or feature reel game).

  • Patent number: 8201054
Abstract: A fault-tolerant approach for updating a compressed read-only file system in embedded devices using a two-step approach. In the first phase an update package creates an intermediate memory image where the data blocks are independently compressed so that, if needed, the data therein can be decompressed and read without access to any other surrounding data blocks. Then in the second phase the intermediate memory image is decompressed in a buffer so that it can be reimaged into its final form and order before being recompressed and written back to non-volatile memory over-writing the intermediate memory image.

  • Patent number: 7805288
Abstract: A system and method for expanding new sample seeds to automatically expand corpora, in which sample seeds are used to collect corpus is provided. The new sample seeds are generated based on the already existed sample seeds and collected corpora; The corpus expansion strategy is determined based on all the sample seeds having been used and new sample seeds: The new sample seeds are refined based on the corpus expansion strategy, and the refined new sample seeds are used to further collect corpus. The above steps are repeatedly executed until predefined condition is satisfied. According to the invention, corpus may be automatically expanded from the web or other resources with low cost and in convenient way to improve the coverage of corpora.

  • Patent number: 7725504
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for helping a user form a structured diagram from an unstructured information source. Starting with one or more key information elements such as some special words, the requests of a customer contained in the information source can be obtained by performing interactive and iterative searching in the unstructured information source such as text, audio, video and etc., the artifacts representing them are drawn in the diagram, and linkages are established between the artifacts and the corresponding contents in the information source. The present invention also proposes that the distribution of established linkages can be used to check whether all the requests in the information source have been extracted in the diagram. Further, various levels of warnings can be shown according to the density of linkage distribution. Therefore the user can draw a structured diagram more conveniently and quickly, and can perform checking and reusing more easily.
