Abstract: This application provides a data transmission method and apparatus, and relates to the field of communications technologies. The method includes: obtaining a plurality of code block streams; distributing, based on a preset multiplexing sequence, code blocks in the plurality of code block streams by slots, to form a single, interleaved code block stream from the plurality of code block streams; and segmenting and encapsulating the single, interleaved code block stream, to generate at least one frame. By utilizing time division duplexing techniques, a data transmission delay of the code block streams can be reduced.

The method includes receiving, from a client device, a content request specifying a requested content and at least one content reception deadline in an application layer part, encapsulating the requested content in a plurality of successive TCP segments; and sending the successive TCP segments to the client device by applying a congestion avoidance mechanism using a congestion window. The congestion window is determined by determining a minimum bitrate required for transmitting the requested content to the client device by the content reception deadline, determining a round-trip time between the content transmission device and the client device, and setting the congestion window equal to or greater than the product of the minimum bitrate and the round-trip time.

The method comprises the steps of selecting (RTVO) the virtual object, e.g. a character, or at least elements thereof (head, chest, arms, legs) in a virtual environment (VE), creating (CRBB) a bounding box for each element wherein the element fits, creating (CRTC) a texture cloud for each bounding box by taking a 360 degree snapshot of the element as delimited by its bounding box, applying (APIS) image stitching technology on the texture cloud for obtaining a distinct texture for each bounding box, printing (PRBB) the bounding boxes with their associated texture, and stitching the bounding boxes together. The printing step may occur on a paper printer whereby a cut-and-glue real physical object (RO) can be obtained, or directly on a 3D printer.

Abstract: A method for transforming a 2D webpage comprising html elements, into a 3D scene wherein the most interesting html elements for the user appear in the most visible places. To this end, an importance value is associated to each html element and the html element is located into the 3D scene based on location identification derived from the importance value associated to the html element. The importance value of an html element may be defined based on the amount of clicks made on the html element in the 3D scene. One or more avatars may be included into the 3D scene. The location identification may then be based on positions, movements and other actions, or on statistics thereof, of the avatars with respect to the html element in the 3D scene.
