  • Publication number: 20130032119
Abstract: A compression ring assembly for a piston of an internal combustion engine includes a first compression ring and a second compression ring, with the second compression ring overlaid adjacent to and in abutting engagement with the first compression ring. When both the first compression ring and the second compression ring are uncompressed and in a free state, the second compression ring includes an outer second ring diameter that is greater than an outer first ring diameter of the first compression ring. Additionally, the first compression ring includes a first radial width that is greater than a second radial width of the second compression ring. A first gap of the first compression ring is positioned relative to a second gap of the second compression ring in a non-overlapping orientation.

  • Publication number: 20120086770
Abstract: A method and system for implementing large capacity calls by using the H.323 protocol stack are provided in the present invention. The method comprises: a plurality of protocol stacks are deployed in a multi-point control unit; an IP address of a third protocol stack is pre-configured as a uniform IP address of the multi-point control unit, wherein the IP address acts as an incoming address when the multi-point control unit is called, and the third protocol stack is used to perform the H.225 signaling interaction with the opposite end when the multi-point control unit is a called party; when the multi-point control unit is a calling party, a first protocol stack, the number of processable calls of which does not exceed a limit number, is selected to perform the H.225 signaling interaction with the opposite end, and a second protocol stack, the number of processable calls of which does not exceed a limit number, is selected to perform the H.

  • Publication number: 20110006223
Abstract: There is disclosed a radiation source assembly comprising an elongate radiation emitting outer portion having non-circular cross-sectional shape and an elongate radiation source. A radiation source module and a fluid system incorporating the radiation source assembly are also disclosed. It has been discovered that the use of a non-circular shaped sleeve or outer lamp surface reduces the stress placed on these elements in a fluid treatment system in which the radiation source assemblies are disposed transverse (e.g., orthogonal) to the direction of fluid flow through the fluid treatment zone of the system.

  • Publication number: 20100309758
Abstract: A tracking servo method of an optical video disc player and its special device which accomplish angle adjustment in a simple, time-saving and effort-saving manner and improve the tracking servo capability of the optical video disc player. In the tracking servo method of an optical video disc player, a laser beam is split into a main beam and two sub beams, and tracking error signal generated from the two sub beams are subtracted from tracking error signal generated by the main beam; light spot of the main beam is circular in shape, and light spots of the two sub beams are elliptical in shape. The special device has an effective grating region (1). The effective grating region (1) has a middle zone (2) and two side zones (3, 4); the middle zone (2) has two side edges which are parallel and equal in length, and the two side edges has a distance therebetween which is 10-90% of diameter of the effective grating region (1), and the middle zone (2) and the two side zones (3, 4) have different grating pitches.

  • Publication number: 20100193421
Abstract: In one of its aspects, the present invention relates to a fluid treatment system comprising: an inlet; an outlet; a fluid treatment zone disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The fluid treatment zone: (i) comprises a first wall surface and a second wall surface opposed to the first wall surface, and (ii) having disposed therein at least one array of rows of radiation source assemblies. Each radiation source assembly has a longitudinal axis transverse to a direction of fluid flow through the fluid treatment zone and each of the first wall surface and the second wall surface comprises a first fluid deflector element and a second fluid deflector element. The first fluid deflector element projecting into the fluid treatment zone to a greater extent than the second fluid deflector element.

  • Patent number: 7388841
Abstract: A method selects multiple paths between a server and a client in an overlay network where nodes are connected by links. The nodes include the server and the client. Each path includes a set of selected links. First, in each node, Quality of service metrics are measured of each link directly connecting the node to an immediate neighboring node. The metrics are transmitted to the server. In the server, a link correlation matrix based on the metrics and a path correlation matrix based on the link correlation matrix are determined. Then, the multiple paths are selected based only on the metrics, the link correlation matrix, and the path correlation matrix.

  • Publication number: 20080044320
Abstract: There is described a fluid treatment system. The fluid treatment system comprises: an open channel for receiving a flow of fluid and a fluid treatment zone. The fluid treatment zone comprising a plurality of elongate radiation source assemblies orientated such that: (i) a longitudinal axis of each radiation source assembly is transverse to a direction of fluid flow through the fluid treatment zone, and (ii) an end of each radiation source assembly is disposed above a predetermined maximum height of fluid flow in the open channel. A first baffle plate is disposed upstream of the fluid treatment zone. The first baffle plate is positioned such that a distal end thereof is below the predetermined maximum height of fluid flow in the open channel. In a preferred embodiment, the present fluid treatment system provides for an area in which a cleaning system for the radiation source assemblies can be “parked” when not in use.
