  • Publication number: 20200312805
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an anisotropic conductive film (ACF) with controllable distribution state of conductive substance and a manufacturing method thereof. The ACF includes: a porous template, a plurality of conductive tubes, and an insulation glue layer. A plurality of through holes are configured on the porous template and to penetrate the porous template along a thickness direction of the porous template. Each of the conductive tubes is respectively inserted into one through hole and protrudes from the through hole at both ends, and the insulation glue layer is configured to wrap at least one protruding portion of the conductive tube protruding from the porous template. As such, the distribution state of the conductive tube may be controlled by controlling the density of the through holes within the porous template during the preparation process, and the distribution state of the conductive substances in the ACF may be precisely controlled.

  • Publication number: 20200019400
Abstract: An application update system performs staged rollouts to push new versions or features of applications to users quickly and with minimal negative impact to the users. The application update system allocates users of an application to populations. The populations specify a subset of users to receive a feature update for the application. The application update system performs a staged rollout of the feature update by iteratively pushing the feature update to the identified subset of users, monitoring the performance of the feature update, and, based on the performance, the application update system reallocates users to populations. For example, when the feature update performs successfully, the application update system allocates additional users to receive the feature update. When all users of the application have received the feature update, the staged rollout is designated as complete.

  • Patent number: 9959347
Abstract: Subject matter described herein includes a multi-layer search-engine index. Accordingly, the search-engine index is divided into multiple indexes, each of which includes a respective set of information used to serve (i.e., respond to) a query. One index includes a term index, which organizes a set of terms that are found among a collection of documents. Another index includes a document index, which organizes a set of documents that are searchable. A computing device is used to serve the search-engine index (i.e., to analyze the index when identifying documents relevant to a search query). For example, a solid-state device might be used to serve the multi-layer search-engine index.

  • Publication number: 20160103758
Abstract: The technologies described herein use a statistical test to determine whether differences between data sets of buckets in a bucket test, such as differences between averages of two buckets (e.g., differences between means of two buckets), are directionally larger than a predetermined or preset minimum threshold value. The statistical test may also provide an extension to specify the minimum threshold value as a percentage. Also, described herein are techniques for estimating different control variables of a bucket test, such as estimating minimum bucket size to provide sufficient statistical power with use of the minimum threshold value.

  • Patent number: 8525502
Abstract: A digital pulse controller uses digital logic to send pulses to a high side and low side switches of a switch-mode power supply converter. The digital logic uses a pulse frequency mode which includes a frequency targeting mode and an ultrasonic mode. The frequency targeting mode dynamically adjusts the size of the pulses in order to achieve a switching frequency within a desired band. The ultrasonic mode is switched into when the frequency of the pulses are at or below a threshold and the time of the pulses reaches a minimum threshold.

  • Patent number: 8487600
Abstract: The present invention is a voltage mode digital controller for low-power high-frequency dc-dc converters that has recovery time approaching physical limitations of a given power stage. It consists of a digital controller with load transient response approaching physical limitations of a given power stage that is suitable for low-power SMPS. In one aspect the invention is a method of utilizing a continuous-time digital signal processor (CT-DSP) for regulation of the operation of switch-mode power supplies. A CT-DSP can be used to instantaneously detect changes of voltage or current during transition periods and immediately perform control action that results in the fastest possible response. The invention may include current program mode controllers for SMPS where the input current is sensed as well as power factor correction rectifiers (PFC), where often input voltage, input current and output voltage are sensed.

  • Patent number: 8362756
Abstract: A controller produces high-side and low-side control signals. The high and low-side signals are used to switch high-side and low-side transistors in the power stage to control the voltage across the power stage output capacitor of the power stage. A boost feedback charge pump receives the low or high-side signal to increase the charge on a charge pump output capacitor. The controller is configured to send Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) high and low-side signals that control the voltage on the power stage output capacitor and charge the charge pump output capacitor. The controller is also configured to send boost feedback (BFB) high and low-side signals that charge the boost feedback capacitor, but are designed to not significantly change the charge on the power stage output capacitor.

  • Publication number: 20120223849
Abstract: A Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) produces an analog reference value from a first reference input. The analog reference value and an output value are used to produce an analog error signal. An Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) converts the analog error signal to a digital value. The ADC has higher level of resolution than the DAC. An error encoder adjusts the digital value to produce a digital error value using a second reference input.

  • Patent number: 8125287
Abstract: A multichannel digital pulse width modulator/digital pulse frequency modulator uses a single ring oscillator that is shared by multiple channels. The ring oscillator has taps that can be used for least significant bit (LSB) precision of the generated PWM signal. The ring oscillator also produces a ring clock that is used to synchronize logic in the channels. Since the logic in the channels are synchronized by the ring clock, the channels can each independently produce different frequency PWM (or PFM) signals and still share the same ring oscillator.
