  • Publication number: 20230379961
Abstract: Systems and methods for priority handling for Aperiodic-Channel State Information (A-CSI) on Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: determining a first priority level of a first Uplink Control Information (UCI) (A-CSI on PUCCH triggered by a downlink related DCI); determining a second priority level of a second UCI; and/or performing a priority level handling action based on a comparison of the first priority level and the second priority level. In some embodiments, performing the priority level handling action includes: multiplexing the UCIs and transmitting them together; transmitting the first UCI and the second UCI separately; and dropping one of the UCIs and transmitting the other. In this way, proper priority levels can be determined for A-CSI on PUCCH when it collides with other types of UCI.

  • Publication number: 20230379025
Abstract: Systems and methods for Channel State Information (CSI) enhancements are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for reporting channel conditions includes one or more of: receiving a Channel State Information-Interference Measurement (CSI-IM) pattern; and reporting channel conditions based on the CSI-IM pattern. In some embodiments, the CSI-IM pattern spans multiple Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols on a single subcarrier in a slot. In this way, these CSI-IM patterns might allow better interference measurement by capturing interference in all OFDM symbols in a slot and thus more accurate interference estimation and CSI feedback. The enhanced aperiodic CSI might allow interference variations over time to be measured and reported so that proper margins can be applied by the base station in downlink scheduling to ensure reliable data delivery while maintaining high spectrum efficiency.

In one embodiment, there proposes a method in a wireless communication device for Random Access (RA), comprising: transmitting a preamble on Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH); receiving a Random Access Response (RAR) message; transmitting, on Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), a message for terminal identification (Msg3), wherein the time resource allocation of Msg3 is different than the time resource allocation of other message to be transmitted on the PUSCH (normal PUSCH). The embodiments herein can support flexible time resource allocation configuration for Msg3, and at the same time, the signaling overhead in RAR/DCI for indicating the time resource allocation of PUSCH carrying Msg3 can be reduced.
