Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for detecting air breathed by a user and/or one or more gases are provided herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus may include a test material adapted to reduce in size when exposed to one or more stimuli. In some embodiments, one or more chemicals may be disposed on the test material and, when exposed to the air breathed by the user, the one or more chemicals are adapted to transform from a first color to a second color. In some embodiments, when the test material reduces in size an intensity of the second color increases. The apparatus may further include a face mask. In this regard, the test material may be removably attached to the face mask. The apparatus may further include a spectrophotometer configured to determine if the one or more chemicals have transformed from the first color to the second color.

Abstract: A multimedia information display method is provided. The method includes: obtaining to-be-displayed multimedia information, where the to-be-displayed multimedia information includes main multimedia information and at least one piece of additional multimedia information having an association relationship; displaying the main multimedia information on a display interface; determining a cover for the at least one piece of additional multimedia information when the main multimedia information is displayed for a preset time period, and displaying the main multimedia information and the cover on the display interface; and switching, in response to a clicking operation on the cover, the main multimedia information displayed on the display interface into the additional multimedia information corresponding to the clicking operation.

Abstract: A hypergravity model test device for simulating a progressive failure of a shield tunnel face, including a model box, a shield tunnel model, a servo loading control system and a data acquisition system. The servo loading control system includes a servo motor, a planetary roller screw electric cylinder and a loading rod. The data acquisition system includes a displacement transducer, an axial force meter, a pore pressure transducer, an earth pressure transducer and an industrial camera. The servo loading control system is connected to an excavation plate through the loading rod to control the excavation plate to move back and forth along an axial direction of the shield tunnel model at a set speed to simulate failure of the shield tunnel face. A method for simulating a progressive failure of a shield tunnel face is also provided.

The infusion set or patch pump has a recessed portion in the bottom face containing a hydrogel and a reactant capable of producing a color change upon contact with the pharmaceutical agent. The reactant includes a mixture of potassium persulfate and 4-aminoantipyrine and optionally horseradish peroxidase, and produces a rapid visually detectable color change when contacted with phenol and/or m-cresol contained in insulin as stabilizing agents.

Abstract: Improvements in an adhesive patch for an infusion set include the addition of an antiperspirant, wound healing and/or antimicrobial agent to the adhesive surface, and the layering of different backing materials to improve performance characteristics of the patch. Patches may be offered as part of a product line, in which differently shaped patches are provided for attachment to different parts of the body, and different pressure sensitive adhesives provide different peel strength according to different use patterns of the end user.
