    Abstract: A broadband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna with self-decoupling characteristics includes: a dielectric substrate, a metal patch printed on an upper surface of the dielectric substrate, and a pair of horizontal back-to-back elliptical tapered slots and a vertical elliptical tapered slot etched on the metal patch. A microstrip line and another bent micro strip line are respectively used to feed the vertical elliptical tapered slot and the pair of horizontal elliptical tapered slots, and characteristic modes of the horizontal slots excited by the bent microstrip line and characteristic modes of the vertical slot excited by the micro strip line are mutually orthogonal. By adopting the technical scheme, no additional decoupling structure needs to be introduced, and lower coupling can be realized in a wider working frequency band.

    Abstract: A Satellite Radio Access Network includes a base station for communicating with standard compliant user equipment (UE) via a satellite having a field of view. A network broadcasting signal is provided via an inactive or access beam covering a plurality of cells in the field of view. An access request is detected from a user device, such as a smartphone, within an area covered by the inactive beam. In response to the access request, a beam is transitioned from inactive to active to provide network access to the user device. Once the user device is out of range, the active beam is transitioned back to an inactive beam. An inactivity timer is used to detect an idle active cell that should be transitioned to an inactive cell.

The ground station has a Dynamic Time Division Duplex (DTDD) controller configured to establish UE uplink time slots during which the UE sends UE uplink signals, the UE uplink time slots based on a unique delay for the UE, whereby UE uplink signals are received at the satellite during a same satellite uplink time slot. The controller avoids overlapping uplink and downlink signals being received at the satellite, as well as at the UE.

    Abstract: A method for fabricating a tri-axial MEMS accelerometer that has a top cap silicon wafer and a bottom cap silicon wafer coupled with a measurement mass. The measurement mass has a two level structure, each level having an inner frame coupled to an outer frame by a plurality of first elastic beams, a mass coupled to the inner frame by a plurality of second elastic beams, and a comb coupling structure between the mass and the inner frame. The comb coupling structures are arranged in an orthogonal orientation. The top level and bottom level measurement masses measure acceleration in perpendicular directions. The top level and bottom level measurement masses and the inner frame form an integral unit which moves along a third direction. Acceleration in the third direction is measured from the change in capacitance between the integral unit and the top cap silicon wafer and bottom cap silicon wafer.

The feedback equalization circuit is coupled to the intermediate node to vary the intermediate signal at the intermediate node based on a previous digital output from the latch portion of the sampler circuit.

In the connection mode, the portable electronic device loads the optimum direction corresponding to the location and controls the radiation direction to be adjusted as the loaded optimum direction.
