Abstract: Methods and systems for analyzing video-game videos in connection with facilitating video editing and creation and performing automated extraction of information of interest to facilitate labeling of and/or highlight generation for such videos is provided. According to one embodiment, a video, containing content pertaining to a video game, is received by a video-game video analysis system. Information regarding the status of the video game over time is received by retrieving game metadata through an API of the video game or by analyzing audio or visual features within the content. Multiple clips are automatically identified within the video for proposed inclusion within an edited version of the video based on the status of the video game over time. The edited version of the video is then generated by (i) joining the automatically identified clips or (ii) joining multiple user-selected clips, including at least one clip selected from the automatically identified clips.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generation of an index and Table-of-Contents (ToC) for videos based on user given labels or a combination of user input and automated indexing techniques are provided. According to one embodiment, an annotation tool and a video player are presented to individual subscribers/users of a video discovery and consumption service. Tags proposed by the subscribers to be associated with various portions of the video content are received, processed and integrated within a global ToC for the video. The service can assist subscribers that intend to tag a certain portion of video by automatically proposing suitable tags and portion boundaries. Subscribers can vote on the suitability of tags constituting the ToC. Responsive to a request to view video content, a customized ToC is presented to a subscriber which include labels selected from the global ToC in accordance with default tag selection/filtering criteria or filtering criteria specified by subscriber.

The recipe data file contains both a device setting template component, used to set camera-specific parameters, and an instructional component, which the processor uses to generate visual and audible instructions for positioning and aiming the camera. Visual instructions are provided directly on the viewfinder display. The processor uses on-board GPS and compass or gyroscope to obtain real-time position and pointing direction of the camera.

Abstract: A method for managing multiple generations of an object within a distributed storage system is implemented at a computing device. The computing device receives metadata and content of a first generation of an object from a first client connected to the distributed storage system and stores the first generation's metadata and content within a first storage sub-system. The computing device receives metadata and content of a second generation of the object from a second client connected to the distributed storage system and stores the second generation's metadata and content within a second storage sub-system. The computing device independently replicates the first generation's metadata and content from the first storage sub-system to the second storage sub-system and replicates the second generation's metadata and content from the second storage sub-system to the first storage sub-system such that both storage sub-systems include a replica of the object's first and second generations.
