Abstract: The method of the present invention enables representation of musical compositions using symbols and color. Symbols and variable shades of colors are used to provide enhanced and visually attractive representation of a musical composition that guides a performer in performing the composition in particular predefined emotional overtones. An color-coded emotional hint line is provided along with colored representations of notes to further assist the performer in setting an appropriate predefined overall emotional tone when the composition is performed.
