  • Publication number: 20120254200
Abstract: A method and system for relating data objects according to a numerical cognitive association based on user behavior in accessing and/or retrieving the data objects. The resulting associations allow organizing the data objects in non-linear cognitive mappings which can be graphically rendered as cognitive maps. A method for merging multiple cognitive maps into a single cognitive map when cognitive associations exceed a predetermined threshold is provided; and a method for splitting a single cognitive map into multiple cognitive maps when cognitive associations fall below a predetermined threshold is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6833840
Abstract: A method of PROTO implementation in MPEG-4 is provided, including the steps of: defining a PROTO object class, instantiating a PROTO object, calling the PROTO object into an MPEG-4 scene graph, and rendering the PROTO object.

  • Publication number: 20020071030
Abstract: An implementation of stream segments and media sensors in the reference software of MPEG-4 ISO/MEC 14496-5, is presented. In some embodiments, the implementation involves the definition of a new class in the Core module, namely segmentDescriptor, and new fields and methods in existing classes in the Core module. The implementation requires few changes to the source code of the Renderer module.

  • Publication number: 20020008333
Abstract: Compositions for use in the manufacture of 3-D objects including compositions for use as a support and/or release material in the manufacture of said 3-D objects are provided. The compositions for use in the manufacture of 3-D objects comprise at least one reactive component, at least one photo-initiator, at least one surface-active agent and at least one stabilizer. The compositions for use as a support and/or release material comprise at least one non-reactive and low-toxicity compound, at least one surface-active agent, at least one stablizer and optionally at least one reactive component and at least one photo-initiator. Methods for manufacturing a 3-D object using the compositions of the present invention are also provided.
