Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention creates a dual game of Sweet Sixteen and Blackjack. Although there are various additional side bets added to various Blackjack games, none actually have an ultimate effect on the overall outcome of the end result for the two bets combined, as Sweet Sixteen Blackjack does.

[0002] For instance, when a player places both a Sweet Sixteen bet and a like amount on the Blackjack bet, it creates some unique possibilities for the player.

[0003] When a player's pat starting hands of 17, 18, 19, and 20 are frequently beaten, discouragement usually sets in for the player. Even their Blackjacks can be tied.

[0004] However, by placing a Sweet Sixteen bet, a player is assured of breaking even on these hands at worst. Better yet, they have an excellent chance of winning a double bet on Sweet Sixteen and Blackjack bets. Their Blackjacks will nearly always win two and a half bets and will always win at least one bet.

[0005] Even with a hard sixteen, a player can play his Blackjack hand with the assurance of at least breaking even, overall. The same is true of all starting soft hands containing an ace, while a pair of aces pays double. These hands also have an excellent chance of winning the Blackjack bet also.

[0006] With this unique double bet, over 48% of the time players are assured of at least breaking even on both bets. Better yet, players should average losing outright on less than 27% of all the hands they play.

[0007] With larger wins of two, three, or four bets and less frequent losses, this game should be less hectic for the player, thereby creating a more relaxing and enjoyable game for all.

[0008] It seems winning is often secondary to many of the players. Fun and excitement is often their primary purpose for playing, considering their money for gambling to be their entertainment money.

[0009] Sweet Sixteen Blackjack offers the player more for their entertainment dollar than any other Blackjack game has offered to date.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0010] Sweet Sixteen Blackjack offers all players a chance to always place two bets of equal value, one on the hand formed by the two starting cards of the Blackjack hand and one on the outcome of the Blackjack hand itself. Each bet is placed on separate betting spots.

[0011] The object of the player on the first two cards is to receive a total Blackjack count of sixteen or more, or any soft hand (containing an ace). These hands always pay even money on player's Sweet Sixteen bet. A pair of aces pays two to one on the bet and any non-winning pair of sevens, sixes, fives, fours, threes, and twos will gain the player a push (no loss).

[0012] All other two-card hands will lose. The dealer immediately pays off the winning Sweet Sixteen bets and collects the losing bets except for the six non-winning pairs that earn a push.

[0013] Dealer would then complete each player's Blackjack hand according to the rules established by the Host Casino including paying the winning Blackjack bets and collecting the losing Blackjack bets.

[0014] The House may deal from one, two, four, five, or six decks.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] Sweet Sixteen Blackjack shall be played on a table with six betting areas to accommodate six players. Each betting area is designated by a heart-shaped area embracing the number 16, and a square along side embracing the letters “BJ”. Each player will place two bets of equal value, one on the Sweet Sixteen heart and one on the BJ square.

[0016] The bet on the Sweet Sixteen heart can be won if the starting two cards of the Blackjack hand total a Blackjack count of sixteen or more or forms any soft hand with an ace. A pair of aces will pay two to one, while any non-winning pair of sevens, sixes, fives, fours, threes, and twos will gain a push for the Sweet Sixteen bet. All other two-card hands will lose the Sweet Sixteen bet.

[0017] The dealer immediately processes all Sweet Sixteen bets by paying the winning hands and collecting from the losing hands with the exception of the pushes.

[0018] The dealer then completes the Blackjack hand for all players according to the established Blackjack rules of the Host Casino, including all allowable double down plays and splitting of pairs.

[0019] The dealers only play the Blackjack portion of the game against the player's hand. The player's Sweet Sixteen hand (first two cards) wins on its own merits.

[0020] Sweet Sixteen Blackjack may be dealt with one, two, four, five, or six decks, depending on the choice of the Host Casino.
