Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] A conventional two-folded automatic opened umbrella usually includes a shaft, inner springs, upper joint, runner, and several ribs to assemble an automatic opened umbrella. In order to assist to open the two-folded umbrella, an extended rib is provided under the rib assembly. The extended rib is mounted under the main rib wherein the outer end of the extended rib is pivotally connected with the main rib at a middle bottom position and the inner end is connected with the runner at a lower position. The known structure only obtains a basic function for an automatic opened umbrella. The extended rib is positioned between the main rib and the shaft when the umbrella is closed. It will cause the umbrella can not be completely closed and has a large closed volume.

[0002] Accordingly, the primary object of the invention is to provide an improved two-folded automatic opened umbrella, which is provided with a middle joint on the shaft to connect with the extended rib. While the extended rib is positioned in a triangle composed by the shaft, the main rib, and the upper branch rib, the umbrella can thus be completely closed. Now the features and advantages of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS

[0003] FIG. 1 is a plan view of a two-folded automatic opened umbrella in opened state according to the present invention.

[0004] FIG. 2 is a plan view of a two-folded automatic opened umbrella in closed state according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0005] Referring to the affixed drawings, the present invention is to provide an improved two-folded automatic opened umbrella, which includes a shaft (1) having an upper tube (11) and a lower tube (12). An upper spring (13) and a lower spring (14) are provided in the upper tube (11) and an upper joint (15) is covered on the top of the upper spring (13). A middle joint (2) is provided around the upper tube (11) and a runner (3) is provided around the shaft (1) below the middle joint (2). The inner end of a main rib (31) is pivotally connected with the runner (3). The inner end of an upper branch rib (32) is connected with the upper joint (15) while the outer end of the branch rib (32) is pivotally connected with the main rib (31) at a middle portion. The extended rib (21) of the present invention has the inner end connected with the middle joint (2) and has the outer end connected with the branch rib (32) at an outer portion. Accordingly, the characteristic of the present invention is to provide the extended rib positioned within the triangle composed by the shaft (1), the main rib (31), and the branch rib (32).

[0006] Under the improved design, as closing the umbrella, the upper joint (15) moves downward and the lower tube (12) moves upward, which can compress the upper spring (13) and the lower spring (14) at the same time. The extended rib (21) will be received in the upper branch rib (32) that will not occupy any space so the closed umbrella is less volume occupation than a prior umbrella is. Moreover, due to the extended rib (21) is connected with the middle joint (2) fixed around the upper tube (11); it can provide a pulling force to assist the closing of the umbrella.

[0007] The above structure is only an exemplary according to the present invention. Any simple modification under the spirit of this invention, such as connecting the outer end of the extended rib (21) with the branch rib (32) at the position where connecting with the main rib (31) or a flexible rib (4) of the umbrella, will be claimed in this application. Wherever the extended rib will be always within the said triangle. Thus it has excellent practical value in the field. Evidently the invention has the essence of a patent. We hereby apply for a patent grant.
