The Cone Shape Brella Bag—a convenient and sleek, chic umbrella carrier—has an inner lining and outer sleeve. FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] This invention relates generally to carrying cases and more specifically to a carrying case for an umbrella.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The umbrella is a convenient and ubiquitous article of rain gear. When used in conjunction with a raincoat, it is preferable to hoods or hats in that it provides a relatively broad area of protection without disturbing the user's hair. For light rains, an umbrella alone may provide sufficient protection, obviating the need for a bulky raincoat

[0003] The umbrella is a rain gear of choice and valuable for commuters who face unpredictable weather for short periods in connecting otherwise protected modes of transportation.

[0004] Despite their obvious advantages, umbrellas have always presented a problem when wet. The preferable method of dealing with wet umbrella, if space allows, is to place them open in a protected area until they dry. Where space constraints or large numbers of umbrellas prevent such an approach, umbrellas may be put in an umbrella stand, pointed down to drain and dry.

[0005] Generally, all umbrellas come with a sleeve of a water repellent material similar to that used in the umbrella itself. Such sleeves are intended to protect the umbrella from abrasion and dirt and are easily ruined or misplace after its first few uses.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The present invention provides a Cone Shape Brella Bag for an umbrella, in that it provides style and convenience for housing the umbrella when not in use.

[0007] Specifically, the Cone Shape Brella Bag employs an outer sleeve and an inner lining. The inner lining being constructed of a material made of polymers that are by-products of oil refining or coal distillations to receive the umbrella in a folded position and to hold it therein. The outer sleeve surrounds the inner lining and is made of stylish fabric material, namely:

[0010] A dress pelt of mink beaver, rabbit, fox and seal

[0011] The skin of an animal clean and made flexible and durable by tanning.

[0013] Polymeric synthetic resins from chiefly condensing polyhydric alcohols with dibasic acids.

[0014] A very fine soft lustrous fiber

[0015] Inflection of synthetic products.

[0016] Vinyl

[0017] A closely woven coarse cloth, of hemp, cotton or linen unbleached

[0018] Ornamental braid of gold or silver fine netting or open work of fabric of linen, cotton or silk.

[0019] It is another object of this invention to provide a detachable inside pouch pocket as an added feature to allow the user convenience to carry other personal items at the same time while enjoying the convenience of the umbrella bag. The detachable inside pouch pocket is secured to the Brella bag with snaps (buttons, zippers, velcro, or hooks) when in use.

[0020] And yet another object of the Cone Shape Brella Bag is to provide a current and fashionable way of dressing—it is a mark of distinction!

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The single strap 3a is attached diametrically on either side of the upper end 11 of the outer sleeve 15 so as to suspend the Cone Shape Brella Bag generally vertical with the upper open ends 11 and 16 of the outer sleeve 15 and the inner lining 6 above the lower open ends 12 and 17 of the outer sleeve 15 and the inner lining 6.

[0027] The Cone Shape Brella Bag 10 including an inner lining 6 as shown in FIG. 2a, and having an upper open end 11 and a lower end 12 to form a volume 19 for receiving a folded umbrella 18 shown in FIG. 1a within its confines. The inner lining 6 is constructed of a material of polymers, which are by-products of oil refining or coal distillations, characterized by its ability to wick liquid waters and to retain that water against mechanical dislodging. A woven 100% plastic material satisfies these requirements.

[0028] Coaxially surrounding the inner lining 6 is an outer sleeve 15 constructed of a variety of stylish fabric material such as delineated above in the summary of invention. The outer sleeve 15 has a corresponding open end 16 adjacent to the upper open end 11 of the inner lining 6., and the corresponding open end 17 adjacent to the lower open end 12 of the inner lining 6. The outer sleeve 15 is constructed of material of a strong, coarse, twilled, cotton fabric or a material of polymer which are by-products of oil refining or coal distillation; or a dress pelt of mink, beaver, rabbit, fox and seal; or the skin of an animal clean and made flexible and durable by tanning; or the skin of an animal having the flesh side napped by buffing; or polmeric synthetic resins form chiefly condensing polyhydric alcohols with dibasic acids; or a very fine soft lustrous fiber; or inflection of synthetic products; or vinyl; or a closely woven coarse cloth, of hemp, cotton or linen unbleached; or ornamental braid of gold or sliver fine netting or open work of fabric of linen, cotton or silk

[0029] Also in FIG. 1, the grommet 4 of the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10 is a ¼″ metal circumference protectant from the fray of the fabric of the outer sleeve 15 and the inner lining 6.

[0030] Referring to FIG. 1a the upper open end 11 of the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10 is a 7″ circumference that conforms to the upper open end 11 and the lower open end 12 cylindrical volume 19 having a folded radius so that inner lining 6 may convolve with waterproof material extending inward from the outer sleeve 15 to contact the umbrella 18 as shown in FIG. 1a, when the umbrella is inserted into the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10.

[0031] Referring to FIG. 2 the inside pouch pocket 1 is a detachable pocket of Cone Shape Brella Bag 10 that allows the user an added convenience of caring personal items at the same time while enjoying the convenience of the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10. The detachable inside pouch pocket 1 is secured with snaps (buttons, zippers, Velcro, hooks) 2 when in use.

[0032] Referring to FIG. 2a the slit pocket 5 of the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10 is a split open pouch sewn into the lining 6 to provide an incision—like slit unto the outer sleeve 15 of the Cone Shape Brella Bag 10.

Claims

1. A carrying case for umbrella (The Cone Shape Brella Bag), the umbrella being of a type having a flexible waterproof material attached to a plurality of ribs extending from an apex to attach to one end of an umbrella shaft, the ribs folding, when the umbrella is folded, to a position substantially parallel to the umbrella shaft to fit within cylindrical volume having a folded radius, the bag comprising:

A sleeve sized to substantially conform to the dimensions of the umbrella when folded and constructed of a variety of fabric material: denim, plastic, cotton, leather, suede, fur silk, rayon and polyester, open to a 7□ circumference at the upper end for receiving the folded umbrella, and open to a 3□ to −3½ □ circumference fitted to a grommet to hold the umbrella therein for absorbing water there from; and,

3. An inner lining positioned coaxially about the sleeve. The inner lining is of a material of polymers which are by-products of oil refining or coal distillation, having an opened end adjacent to a 7□ circumference at the upper end for permitting insertion of the umbrella into the sleeve when the inner lining is so positioned around the sleeve for allowing evaporation of water through the inner lining from the sleeve; and,

The Cone Shape Brella Bag as recited in claim 1, where in the sleeve has a circumference of 7□ to conform to the cylindrical volume having the folded radius so that the inner lining may convolve with waterproof material extending inward from the sleeve to contact the umbrella when the umbrella is inserted into the sleeve.

The Cone Shape Brella Bag, as recited in claim 1, includes a strap (double or single) attached inside or outside the circumference of the upper end to suspend the Cone Shape Brella Bag so that the apex of the umbrella is fitted into the grommet when the umbrella is inserted apex first into the Cone Shape Brella Bag.
