Electric puppet

An electric puppet includes a hollow tube installed on the top of a base while a mechanism is disposed on the top of the hollow tube. The mechanism comprises of a plurality of rotatable shaft lever set around and each connected with a double-crossed control rod. The limbs of puppets are connected to the double-crossed control rod by pieces of string. The mechanism drives shaft lever so as to make the double-crossed control rod swing and the puppets are animated.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to an electric puppet, more particularly to a puppet with a double-crossed control bar connected with a shaft driven by a mechanism so as to make the puppet move.

[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art

[0004] Generally the limbs of puppets, which are tied by pieces of string, swing free. The limbs are controlled by the string connected to a plurality of double-crossed control rod. By the manipulation of the double-crossed control rod, the puppets are played.

[0005] Most of the traditional puppets are driven by manual animation. In order to make puppets animate, manipulators need a lot practice for quite a long time. For dabblers who are fond of puppets, they don't require the perfect movement of the puppets but just have simple movement.

[0006] Moreover, general electric puppets have driven mechanism inside hollow bodies so as to animate the limbs. But the driven mechanism inside is quite complicated, thus for manufactures not only the cost is raised, the competitiveness on market is also reduced.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide an electric puppet controlled by a double-crossed control rod driven by a mechanism so as to make puppets animate.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0008] The accomplishment of the above-mentioned object of the present invention will become apparent from the following description and its accompanying drawings which disclose illustrative an embodiment of the present invention, and are as follows:

[0009] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention;

[0010] FIG. 2 is an explosive view of the present invention;

[0011] FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a mechanism in accordance with the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 4 is an explosive view of a mechanism of the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 5 is a perspective view of part of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0014] First of all, referring to FIG. 1 & FIG. 2, the present invention includes the following components:

[0015] a base 1 with a hollow tube 11 thereof;

[0016] with reference of FIG. 3 & FIG. 4, a mechanism 2, disposed on the top of the hollow tube 11, having a cover 21 with a set of gears 23 driven by a motor 22 mounted therein; an eccentric shaft 23b, arranged on the bottom of a toothed wheel 23a of the gear set 23, is inserted into a slot 24a set on one end of a swing link 24 that is installed horizontally. A crown gear 24b is disposed on the bottom of the other end of the swing link 24. In addition, a plurality of rotatable shaft lever 25 is set around the crown gear 24b. By a small gear 25a on the inner end of the shaft lever 25 matching the crown gear 24b, the shaft lever 25 can rotate to-and-fro.

[0017] One end of a double-crossed control rod 3 is jointed with the outer end of the shaft lever 25 while the other end thereof is attached with a piece of string 4 that is connected with the limbs 51 of puppets 5, as shown in FIG. 5.

[0018] In accordance with the structure mentioned above, the motor 22 of the mechanism 2 drives the eccentric shaft 23b through the toothed wheel 23a of the gear set 23 so as to make the swing link 24 swing. Then the crown gear 24b on the bottom of one end of the swing link 24 also rotates. By the small gear 25a on the inner end of the shaft lever 25 matching the crown gear 24b, a plurality of shaft lever 25 also rotates repetitively.

[0019] When the shaft lever 25 rotates, the double-crossed control rod 3 on the outer end of the shaft lever 25 also swings. Through the string 4 connecting the limbs 51 of puppets 5 with one end of the double-crossed control rod 3, the puppets 5 moves according to the movement of the double-crossed control rod 3.

[0020] The puppets 5 are driven by the mechanism outside the body thereof so that the assembling of the mechanism is simplified, the manufacturing cost is reduced and the competitiveness on the market is raised.

[0021] Furthermore, double-crossed control rod 3 can be disassembled from the shaft lever 25 so that the puppets 5 are animated by manual operation of the detached double-crossed control rod 3.

[0022] It should be noted that the above description and accompanying drawings are only used to illustrated some embodiments of the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Any modification of the embodiments should fall within the scope of the present invention.
