Transverse joint protector or (Quick mat)

The product being sent for patent approval would be used for transitioning traffic on and off of newly paved roads. It would also be used temporarily on milling projects as well as for paving. When milling and or paving is in the process there is typically a joint to contend with. This product would address the problem on all levels.

Description

[0001] 1. Standard size;

[0002] 5×3×1½″ (see drawing)

[0003] The mat tapers from back to front.

[0004] Back edge is 1½″ leading edge is ¼″.

[0005] 2. Other dimensions would and should be available, due to changes in applications.

[0006] 3. Each mat has two countersunk holes for hold down devices.

Claims

1. To my knowledge there is no product being used for this particular application that I am aware of, and nothing similar on any market for paving joints that I am aware of.

2. I had this idea through my own experimenting on the job.
