Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to an automatic umbrella holding device on a bicycle, more especially to a structure easy and convenient for application and stable holding but not subject to detach.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The aim of the present invention is to provide an automatic umbrella holding device on a bicycle mainly using a bottom clamping frame to fix a main supporting post onto a handle bar of a bicycle; the top end of the said supporting post joins with a clamp holder which has a fixed arm and a moveable clamping arm pivotally connected at one end; a adjusting bolt respectively extends through the middle segments of the fixed arm and the moveable clamping arm; one end portion of the said adjusting bolt is disposed with an eccentric disk; the peripheral rim of the said eccentric disk extends to form a press button; the other end of the adjusting bolt is threaded to a nut; when in use, through rotating the adjusting bolt, the other ends of the fixed arm and the moveable clamping arm are brought closer to each other to clamp an umbrella handle grip with a proper pressure; then the press button is pushed to make the eccentric disk tightly force the moveable arm or the fixed arm; the best clamping state can be achieved according to the different thickness of the umbrella handle grip and that is the primary objective of the present invention.

[0003] According to the present invention of an automatic umbrella holding device on a bicycle, a clamping jacket with arcuate planes is disposed at least at the end portion of the fixed arm or the moveable arm for holding the umbrella handle grip so as to increase a stable holding effect and that is another objective of the present invention.

[0004] According to the present invention of an automatic umbrella holding device on a bicycle, the bottom clamping frame thereof is composed by a horizontal supporting rod with a plurality of positioning holes disposed in an axial direction and a sliding seat sleeved thereon; wherein, two end portions of the said horizontal supporting rod are fixed onto the handle bars of the bicycle; the bottom end of the abovementioned main supporting post jointing with the clamp holder is fixed onto the said sliding seat; the outer peripheral rim of the said sliding seat is disposed with a retaining tab; the moveable end of the said retaining tab is disposed with at least one forked hook; the exterior side of the said sliding seat is disposed with a plurality of lateral holes on the pivotally rotating path of the said forked hook; thereby, when the said sliding seat on the horizontal supporting rod slides to the lateral hole thereof to coincide with and insert into the adjusting position hole on the horizontal supporting rod by means of the forked hook of the retaining tab extended into the lateral holes; thereby, the sliding seat is positioned at a proper location on the horizontal supporting rod to achieve the effect of adjusting the umbrella holding position according to the needs and that is yet another objective of the present invention.

[0009] The main supporting post (2) is a rod body and the top end thereof is in a flat shape with a hole in the center; a bolt (22) sleeved by a spring (23) extends through the main supporting post (2) and the position supporting board (111), then threaded onto a nut (24); the resistance from the spring (23) enables the position supporting board (111) to maintain a tight pivotal joint with the top end of the main supporting post (2); the bottom clamping frame (7) comprises an horizontal supporting rod (71) and a sliding seat (72); on the sides and the top planes along the axle of the horizontal supporting rod (71) respectively, a plurality of adjusting fixing holes (711) and concave holes (714) are disposed; the two end portions separately have a lateral bent portion (712) bent at a proper angle; each lateral bent portion (712) is disposed with a plurality of fixing holes (713).

[0010] The sliding seat (72) is inserted onto the peripheral side of the horizontal supporting rod (71) and the inner top plane thereof is disposed with at least a steel bead (726) to be fitly inserted into the concave hole (714) on the top plane of the said horizontal supporting rod (71) for positioning; the outer peripheral rim of the said sliding seat (72) extend to form two corresponding branch portions (721); a retaining tab (722) is pivotally jointed onto the two branch portion (721); the said retaining tab (722) has a push tab (724) and at least a bent forked hook (723) respectively protruding outwardly; the exterior side of the sliding seat (72) has a plurality of lateral holes (725) located on the pivotally rotating path of the said forked hook (723); the retaining tab (722) has a spring inside to enable the forked hook (723) to be inserted into the lateral holes (725) in an initial state; pushing the push tab (724), the forked hook (723) is retracted from the lateral hole (725); the other lateral side of the sliding seat (72) is connected to a clamping jacket (73), the said clamping jacket (73) consists of two opposite curved pieces to form a clamping hole (731); the moveable end enables a bolt (732) to extend through and be tightly screwed onto a forced rotating button (733) thereby narrowing the clamping hole (731) so as to clamp onto the bottom end of the main supporting post (2).

[0011] When in use, a plurality of fixed clamping ring (74) with an opening is clamped onto the handle bar (5) of the bicycle; two opening end portions of the fixed clamping ring (74) are disposed with an outwardly extended portion (741); the extended portion (741) has fixing holes to allow bolts to extend through and to join the fixing hole (713) of the lateral bent portion (712) to thereby enable the horizontal supporting rod (71) to be positioned on the bicycle's handle bar (5); the sliding seat (72) slides along the horizontal supporting rod (71) to a proper position to enable the lateral hole (725) thereof to coincide with the adjusting position hole (711) on the horizontal supporting rod (71), whereas the forked hook (723) of the retaining tab (722) reaches into the lateral hole (725) and inserts into the adjusting position hole (711) to enable the sliding seat (72) to be positioned at a proper location on the horizontal supporting rod (71); the bottom end of the main supporting post (2) extends into the clamping hole (731) of the clamping jacket (73), fastening a bolt (732) to a forced rotating button (733) for positioning, the top end of the main supporting post (2) is pivotally jointed to the position supporting board (111) of the fixed arm (11) to enable the clamp holder (1) to form a pitched angle, such that the umbrella handle grip (6) inserts between the bent portion (114) or the clamping jacket (115) and the clamping position or the clamping jacket (123) of the moveable clamping arm (12); flipping the press button (1311) outwardly disengages the eccentric disk (131) from the fixed arm (11) and the moveable clamping arm (12) and facilitates an easy rotation of the adjusting bolt (13) to clamp the said umbrella handle grip (6); pressing the press button (1311) inwardly against the eccentric disk (131) again forces the tightening of the fixed arm (11) and the moveable clamping arm (12) so as to accomplish the most adequate efficiency of clamping the umbrella handle grip (6).

[0012] The abovementioned structure of the present invention uses a sliding seat (72) that slides on the horizontal supporting rod (71) and uses forked hook (723) thereof to extend through the lateral hole (725) to be retained on the adjusting position hole (711) of the horizontal supporting rod (71), therefore to enable the umbrella to be adjustably positioned depending on the need (e.g., when wind, rain, or sun ray shifts its direction) at any time to achieve the best sheltering effect).

[0013] The abovementioned structure of the present invention in addition to be disposed on a bicycle to hold an umbrella, it can also be disposed on other or related objects (e.g., baby carriages) that have a need for an application of automatically clamp-holding an umbrella or similar items.
