Cap
The present invention discloses a cap that includes a visor adapted to be curved to a predetermined shape at the front of the cap to protect a wearer's eyes or face from the sunlight and a crown adapted to be sewn on one side of the visor and opened at a bottom portion to cover the top of a wearer's head, the cap comprising a sweat absorbing member that is formed of two folds and made by receiving a portion left after the crown and the visor have been sewn to each other, between one side end portions of two folds of the sweat absorbing member in such a manner as to be fixedly sewn to the bottom end of the inner peripheral surface of the crown and by coupling the other side end portions of two folds of the sweat absorbing member to each other to thereby prevent the sewn portion at the one side end portions from being exposed to the outside.
1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a cap, and more particularly, to a cap that is provided with a sweat absorbing member that is adapted to cover a portion left after a crown and a visor have been sewn to each other, the sweat absorbing member being made of an absorbable knitted material and having a neat outer appearance, so that it can be worn for many hours, exhibiting an excellent sweat absorbing capability.
2. Background of the Related Art
Generally, a cap is a head covering, which is usually worn out of doors to give protection from direct sunlight, thereby giving advantages that wearer's skin can be protected, and it is worn to avoid his or her head from rain, snow and other things. Especially, most of people usually wear the cap when they watch sports games outside or they go on a picnic, etc.
The caps are classified into various kinds of ones in accordance with wearer's purposes, and when they are worn in consideration of the wearer's preference or individuality, they could make him or her look nice.
Also, in the case where the wearer exercises like riding a bicycle or jogging outside, he or she usually sweats by the heat coming through his body. Thus, the cap is used to prevent the sweat from running down on his or her face.
Under the above configuration, however, an outer cloth of the visor 12 and the crown 11 are sewn to each other, and a portion left after the sewn line portion is exposed just between the sweat band 13 and the crown 11, as shown in
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art.
An object of the present invention is to provide a cap that is provided with a sweat absorbing member that is adapted to cover in two folds a portion left after a crown and a visor have been sewn to each other, the sweat absorbing member being made of an absorbable knitted material and having a neat outer appearance, so that it can be worn for many hours, thereby exhibiting an excellent sweat absorbing capability.
To accomplish the above object, according to the present invention, there is provided a cap that includes a visor adapted to be curved to a predetermined shape at the front of the cap to protect a wearer's eyes or face from the sunlight and a crown adapted to be sewn on one side of the visor and opened at a bottom portion thereof to cover the top of a wearer's head, the cap comprising a sweat absorbing member that is formed of two folds and made by receiving a portion left after the crown and the visor have been sewn to each other, between one side end portions of two folds of the sweat absorbing member in such a manner as to be fixedly sewn to the bottom end of the inner peripheral surface of the crown and by coupling the other side end portions of two folds of the sweat absorbing member to each other to thereby prevent the sewn portion at the one side end portions from being exposed to the outside.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGSThe above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments of the invention in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which.:
Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
According to the present invention, there is provided a cap 10 that has a visor 12 adapted to be curved to a predetermined shape at the front of the cap to protect a wearer's eyes or face from the sunlight and a crown 11 adapted to be sewn on one side of the visor 12 and opened at a bottom portion to cover the top of a wearer's head, the cap 10 including a sweat absorbing member 100 that is formed of two folds and made by receiving a portion left after the crown 11 and the visor 12 have been sewn to each other, between one side end portions in such a manner as to be fixedly sewn to the bottom end of the inner peripheral surface of the crown 11 and by coupling the other side end portions of two folds of the sweat absorbing member to each other to thereby prevent the sewn portion at the one side end portions from being exposed to the outside.
The sweat absorbing member 100 is made of a knitted material having absorbing and expanding properties like cotton.
Now, an explanation on the process of manufacturing the cap of the present invention will be given.
First, as shown in
At this time, there is a portion left after the crown 11 and the visor 12 have been sewn to each other, which is received between one side end portions of two folds of sweat absorbing member 100 to thereby become in close contact with the bottom end edge of the inner peripheral surface of the crown 11 and then sewn along the bottom edge of the cap 10.
After sewing the portion, the other side end portions of the sweat absorbing member 100 come in close contact with each other and are thus sewn such that the sewn portion of the crown 11 and the visor 12 is not exposed to the outside, thereby completing manufacturing the cap 10.
Next, an explanation on the usage state of the cap of this invention will be given.
First, as shown in
As described above, the present invention provides a cap that is provided with a sweat absorbing member that is adapted to cover in two folds a portion left after a crown and a visor have been sewn to each other, the sweat absorbing member being made of an absorbable knitted material and having a neat outer appearance, whereby even though it is worn for many hours, a wearer does not feel any headache, and since it exhibits an excellent sweat absorbing capability, it prevents his or her sweat from running down on his or her face.
While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
