NIPPLE STICK WITH ABSORPTION LAYER

A nipple stick comprising a fabric layer, an adhesion layer, an absorption layer, and a strip-off layer is disclosed, wherein the absorption layer is made of non-woven, cotton or other similar absorptive material and is attached to the center of the inner side of the fabric layer; a cosmetic, cleaning, or whitening lotion/ointment may be applied to the absorption layer before the nipple stick is worn so that the absorption layer can provide protection for the nipple during long periods of use of the nipple stick; and the strip-off layer is made of a waterproof material to allow repeated use of the nipple stick.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a nipple stick, and more particularly to one that is provided with an absorption layer to protect the nipple.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

A nipple stick of the prior art is comprised of a fabric layer, an adhesion layer and a strip-off layer. The adhesion layer is coated on the inner side of the fabric layer and then covered up with the strip-off layer and the nipple stick is cut into a shape of a dot, petal or any other selected shapes. To use the nipple stick, one simply peels away the strip-off layer and adheres the nipple stick directly onto the nipple and its perimeter through its self-adhesive feature. However, because nipples are very sensitive parts of a woman's body, if nipple sticks are continuously worn and fully adhered to the nipples for a long period of time, the nipples can get very uncomfortable and even become allergic or inflamed in worse cases, particularly with those women who have extraordinarily sensitive physique or who are in a lactation period when the secretion from the nipples are in greater amount than usual. Furthermore, the prior art is somehow wasteful since its strip-off layer is designed to be disposed of after one use and does not allow repeated use after washing.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a nipple stick with an absorption layer attached to the center of the inner surface of an outer fabric layer of the nipple stick. The absorption layer is made of an absorptive material and located at a position to cover the nipple when the nipple stick is worn. Before wearing the nipple stick of the present invention, a few drops of cosmetic lotion such as cold cream or cleansing cream or a certain whitening lotion (ointment) are applied on the absorption layer to provide protection for the nipple while preventing allergy, inflammation or other harm to the nipple.

Another purpose of the present invention is to provide a nipple stick with an absorption layer, which is made of non-woven, cotton or any other similar absorptive material to fully absorb or be applied with cleaning/whitening lotion or ointment for maintaining longer duration of the effects of the lotion or ointment.

Another purpose yet of the present invention is to provide a nipple stick with an absorption layer that allows repeated use. To achieve the purpose, the outer surface of the stick is covered up with a waterproof strip-off layer and the strip-off layer is disposed with an opening at its center so as to expose the absorption layer. Accordingly, after the use of the nipple stick of the present invention, the waterproof strip-off layer can be put back to the nipple stick and the absorption layer can be rinsed and cleaned for repeated use.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a nipple stick with an absorption layer of the present invention comprises a fabric layer 1, an adhesion layer 2, an absorption layer 3, and a strip-off layer 4, wherein the fabric layer 1 is made of a fabric material cut into a selected shape; the adhesion layer 2 comprises an adhesive applied onto the inner side of the fabric layer 1; the absorption layer 3 is made of an absorptive material and attached to the center of the inner side of the fabric layer 1 already coated with the adhesive; and the strip-off layer 4 is made of a waterproof material, e.g., a gel sheet or film. Furthermore, the strip-off layer 4 has at its center an opening 41 with a diameter matching that of the absorption layer 3 so that the strip-off layer 4 adheres to the adhesion layer 2 but exposes the absorption layer 3. As illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, the strip-off layer 4 can be peeled off before the nipple stick is applied.

Now referring to FIG. 5, prior to wearing the nipple stick of the present invention, the strip-off layer 4 is first removed, then a few drops of a cosmetic lotion 5, e.g., a cold cream or cleaning cream, or a few dabs of a selected whitening lotion or ointment can be applied onto the absorption layer 3 and its perimeter to provide optimal protection for the nipple and prevent allergy, inflammation or other potential harm to the nipple. After the use of the nipple stick of the present invention, the waterproof strip-off layer 4 can be put back to the nipple stick and the absorption layer 3 can be rinsed and cleaned for repeated use.

With the special design of the absorption layer 3, the nipple stick of the present invention can be used by women who have extraordinarily sensitive physique or who are in a lactation period. When the absorption layer 3 is separated from the nipple, the absorption layer 3 absorbs the secretion from the nipple, thus making the present invention excellently practical with sound protection.

The absorption layer 3 is made of non-woven, cotton or any other similar absorptive material, e.g., an ultra absorptive material to fully take in and maintain longer effects of the cosmetic or cleaning lotion or ointment applied thereon.

It is to be noted that the shape and appearance of the present invention are not restricted to the preferred embodiments described above wherein the fabric layer 1 has a circular shape. As illustrated in FIGS. 6, 7, and 8, the fabric layer 1 may be cut into a shape of a heart, petal, or any other regular or irregular geometric shape as may be desired.

Claims

1. A nipple stick with an absorption layer, which comprises:

a fabric layer;
an adhesion layer comprising an adhesive and coated on an inner side of the fabric layer;
an absorption layer made of an absorptive material and attached to the center of the inner side of the fabric layer already coated with the adhesion layer; and
a strip-off layer having an opening at its center which matches in size and shape with the absorption layer, said strip-off layer adhering to the adhesion layer outside the absorption layer and thus exposing the absorption layer through said opening, wherein the absorption layer is disposed at a position in relation to the nipple when the nipple stick is worn over the nipple and its perimeter after the strip-off layer is detached from the adhesion layer and cosmetic or cleaning lotion or ointment is applied onto the absorption layer to provide protection for the nipple.

2. The nipple stick of claim 1, wherein the strip-off layer is made of a waterproof material.

3. The nipple stick of claim 1, wherein the absorption layer is made of non-woven or cotton material.
