Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

I. Field of the Invention

This invention relates generally to a utensil and, more specifically, to a tea-making utensil that contains at least one filter cup and one (or more than one) lid shape tea bag to be applied on a teacup (water cup), users can carry them conveniently, the present invention can also prevent tea from oxidation by isolating the tea from air.

II. Description of the Prior Art

Heretofore, it is known that regular way to make tea is to put tea into teapot, then pour hot water in; such way cannot make tea anytime, any place, especially when people is out and cannot have teapot along. However, in order to let people carry around conveniently, a tea bag is available in the market, as shown in FIG. 1, a regular tea bag a is to have tea b inside a filter paper bag a1 with a thin thread a2 over the seal; while application, the tea bag a is placed in the teacup c with hot water, the thin thread a2 is left outside the teacup c to replace tea bag a or to adjust the taste; the tea bag a is not repeatable after usage. While making tea, the epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG, an anti-oxidation material) in the green tea is easily oxidized. When the tea bag a is applied with a coverless teacup that cannot avoid the loss of EGCG, such might lose the advantage to human body, also effect the quality of green tea.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a primary object of the invention to provide a tea-making utensil that is easy to carry and effectively isolate green tea from contacting oxygen in the air to preserve the EGCG in the green tea.

In order to achieve the objective set forth, a tea-making utensil in accordance with the present invention comprises at least one filter cup and one (or more than one) lid shape tea bag. The filter cup has an overhang stretching out from the outer diameter of the open, a concave supporter is on the inner side of the overhang, several water inlet holes are on the inner wall of the filter cup; an extra net filter can be set on the bottom of the filter cup. The lid shape tea bag has a protruding brim to span on top of the concave supporter of the filter cup, the tea bag open is sealed with a sealer.

Based on above description, several indentation layers near the overhang are on the bottom of the filter cup, such arrangement can fit different teacup with different open for more convenient and practical usage. Several indentations are installed symmetrically on top of the filter cup between the overhang and concave supporter in order to have the lid shape tea bag on top of the concave supporter to be taken out easier.

Based on above description, when the lid shape tea bag is sealed, Nitrogen gas N2 is filled in to maintain the freshness of tea inside.

Based on above description and while application, since the overhang stretching out from the outer diameter of the open, the filter cup can span over any open of cup and seal them together; users tear off the sealer of the lid shape tea bag and pour tea into the filter cup, fill hot water in teacup, then place the protruding brim of the tea bag spanning over the concave supporter of the filter cup to form a sealing condition; hot water flows back and forth between water inlet holes on the inner wall of the filter cup and an extra net filter can be set on bottom to dip tea inside the filter cup properly; after the EGCG inside tea (green tea) is released completely, users can take out the filter cup and the lid shape tea bag and drink. The present invention is convenient to carry and easy to apply, tea inside can be isolated from oxygen in the air that will help the EGCG in the green tea to be released completely; the appearance is nice; after drinking, the leftover tea can be taken out from the filter cup and apply an extra lid shape tea bag, the filter cup can be applied repeatedly.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the prior art;

FIG. 2 is an assembly view of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is an application cross-sectional view of the present invention;

FIG. 5 is an application cross-sectional view of a further embodiment the present invention;

FIG. 6 is another application cross-sectional view of a further embodiment the present invention;

FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a further embodiment of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the tea-making structure 1 of the present invention comprises a filter cup 10 and a lid shape tea bag 20. The function of each component is described as following:

The filter cup 10 has an overhang 12 stretching out from the outer diameter of the open 11, a concave supporter 13 is on the inner side of the overhang 12, several water inlet holes 14 are on the inner wall of the filter cup 10, an extra net filter 15 can be set on the bottom of the filter cup 10.

The lid shape tea bag 20 has a protruding brim 21 to span on top of the concave supporter 13 of the filter cup 10, the tea bag open 22 is sealed with a sealer 23, the sealer 23 is made of aluminum foil or plastic membrane, when the lid shape tea bag 20 is sealed, Nitrogen gas N2 is filled in to maintain the freshness of tea 2 inside.

The application shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, several indentations 16 are installed symmetrically on top of the filter cup 10 between the overhang 12 and concave supporter 13 in order to have the lid shape tea bag 20 on top of the concave supporter 13 to be taken out easier.

Referring to FIG. 4, a cross-sectional view of the first application; while application based on above description, users place the filter cup 10 on top of teacup 3 with the overhang 12, tear off the sealer 23 of the tea bag 20, pour tea 2 into the filter cup 10, fill hot water in teacup 3, then place the protruding brim 21 of the tea bag 20 spanning over the concave supporter 13 of the filter cup 10 to form a sealing condition; hot water flows back and forth between water inlet holes 14 on the inner wall of the filter cup 10 and an extra net filter 15 can be set on bottom to dip tea 2 inside the filter cup 10 properly; after certain period of time, users can take the filter cup 10 and the lid shape tea bag 20 out of teacup 3 and drink tea inside the teacup 3, such can prevent tea 2 from over-dipping that effects the taste.

Referring to FIG. 5, a cross-sectional view of another application, several indentation layers 121 near the overhang 12 are on the bottom of the filter cup 10, such arrangement can fit different teacup 3 with different open for more convenient and practical usage.

Referring to FIG. 6, a temperature sensor IC 25 is on the depression 24 on the top of the lid shape tea bag 20, the temperature sensor IC 25 indicates hot water temperature at tea-making time and drinking time by color or flashing; referring to FIG. 7, a lid 30 with the same size of the open 11 of the filter cup 10 to be repeatedly applied also as a lid, a space 31 inside the lid 30 can contain a thermometer 32 and a timer 33, all the information are shown with the same display 34 and selected with a switch 35; the information of two apparatus can be also displayed separately; a sensor probe 32a stretches downward from the thermometer 32 to detect the accurate temperature for dipping period.

While a preferred embodiment of the invention has been shown and described in detail, it will be readily understood and appreciated that numerous omissions, changes and additions may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
