Apparatus for word guessing board game
The Word Guessing Game Card can be used and a family safe entertainment card game. 3 or more participants are needed to play this game. Players try to guess what mystery word or phrase will fit into black spaces on board. Points are awarded if the guess is correct. The game continues indefinitely or when a team or player reaches the predetermined score.
The present disclosure pertains to an apparatus for Word Guessing Board Game, in particular to provide entertainment that engages the intellectual capacity of the player.
2. DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ARTThe persistent need for healthy entertainment that fulfils the need for fun and exercising the intellectual capacity of an individual is understood by any person who likes to play word games. Various methods have been invented in the past:
Some of the prior patents are U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,921,864, 4,432,554, 4,448,423, 4,222,561, 4,690,409.
However, it has been found that the inventions related to prior patents are structurally and functionally different than the present one. For example, some of the prior patents have designs that have a different method of allocation of points. Some other prior patents do not have symbolic words as a part of the Word Guessing Board Game.

The following description provides an apparatus for Word Guessing Board Game, which can be used for entertainment purposes. The following sections provide a description of the apparatus for Word Guessing Board Game, its specific details, its features and its advantages over the other prior models.
As previously discussed, the prior art patents have various limitations such as having designs that have a different method of allocation of points. Some other prior patents do not have symbolic words as a part of the Word Guessing Board Game. In contrast, the present invention endeavors to overcome the limitations faced by the prior art patents. The apparatus for Word Guessing Board Game, described in the present invention has the ability to test the mental skills of the players, is portable, lightweight, and provides entertainment value, challenge and appeal as a family game.
In one version of the game with a minimum of 3 players,
the 1st participant takes a card from mystery deck to determine what mystery word or phrase will be used; the other participants take turns spinning the wheel to determine point value or course of action, then makes a selection from CONSENANT letters only. If selection is part of the mystery word or phrase the participant then has a choice of solving the mystery or passing to the next participant who spins the wheel.
If a participant guesses WRONG they LOSE 200 points or the amount the wheel stopped on (WHICH EVER IS GREATER) plus their next turn. If participants guesses CORRECTLY they receive 100 times the spaces used in mystery or phrase*.
*Player that solves mystery word or phrase switches places with 1st participant to determine what mystery word or phrase will be used next, OR each participant rotates as clue giver. Numbers, vowels and symbols can be bought for 200 points.
In another version of the game with a minimum of 3 players, THE TWO-DECK VERSION (minimum 3 participants)
The 1st participant takes a card from mystery game deck #1 to determine what mystery word or phrase will be used; the other participant takes turns pulling from game deck #2 to determine point value or course of action, then makes a selection from CONSONANT letters only. If selection is part of the mystery word or phrase the participant then has the choice of solving the mystery or passing to the next participant who pulls from game deck #2.
If a participant guesses WRONG they LOSE 200 points or the card value pulled EVER IS GREATER) plus their next turn. If participants guesses CORRECTLY they receive 100 times the spaces used in mystery or phrase*.

Game deck #2 is basically a standard deck of playing cards with values that represent the following:
- JOKER=bankrupt
- ACE=free selection of number, vowels or symbols
- KING=participant can ask a specific question about mystery word of phrase
- QUEENS and JACKS=receive ONE additional clue
- CARDS 10 thru 4=points multiplied by 100
- CARD 3=lose turn
- CARD 2=extra free turn

2. A method for playing a word guessing game comprising:
- spinning a spin wheel to land on one of a predetermined categories;
- selecting one of a plurality of game cards based on the predetermined categories from spinning the spin wheel, with each game card to contain a mystery word or phrase that includes at least one letter, one symbol, and one number and is incorrectly spelled; a correctly spelled version of the mystery word or phrase; a category designation of the mystery word or phrase; a plurality of clues to help the user to identify the mystery word or phrase,
- guessing the mystery word or phrase on the selected card based on the plurality of clues and to receive a result based on the predetermined categories from spinning the spin wheel.
