Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to a lower portion double layer protection structure inside a waterproof or windbreak raincoat used for rainproof protection.

2. Description of the Prior Art

The prior methods of an easy-wearing raincoat can't protect the user's legs from rain or water very well. The reasons that the user's legs are easily wetted by water as using the present raincoat during a raining day are shown as following.

    • 1. As walking, the user's legs are very easily reaching out of the covering range of the raincoat's lower hem and getting wet by water drops from the raincoat or rain drops from the sky.
    • 2. Or the user's legs are wetted by the rain floating with the wind into the covering range of the raincoat's lower hem.
    • 3. In the fierce wind, because the raincoat's lower hem is tight-fitting on the user's legs to lose the covering function.
    • 4. The user's legs are wetted by the rain reflected from the ground.
    • 5. During riding a bicycle or a motorcycle, the user's legs are wetted by the dropping rain from the raincoat, the floating rain with the wind, or the water splashed by the passing vehicles.

There is a motorcycle raincoat with the legs' protection function on the market. It stretches the lower edges of the raincoat's front clothes to form two covering clothes on left and right side each and might set up a rain shoe on the bottom of each side covering cloth.

Because the previous raincoat's leg-protection function is comprised one-piece cloth of the raincoat's front left and right side each, this single layer lower hem structure receives plenty of water dropping from the upper portion of the raincoat.

Furthermore, there is another kind of raincoat which is a union suit combining a jacket and a pair of trousers inside the waist part together. The pair of trousers is cut open from one bottom through the crotch to the other bottom of the opposite sides of the trousers. This flat structure is set up a zipper on the cutting line for forming a pair of trousers then its upper rim is connecting to the inside waist part of the raincoat to form a union suit type of a raincoat.

Because the union suit has the crotch structure, it easily induces a muggy feeling caused by the body heat not easily driven out of the closed union suit.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

This invention provides a double protection structure inside a waterproof or windbreak coat to resolve the problem of wetting legs. It is comprised by adding a tube-shape structure inside the original lower portion of a waterproof or windbreak coat to form a double layer protection structure. It achieves the same rainproof effect of the rain trousers but without the defect of trouble wearing.

There are two methods to form the tube-type structure described as following.

A: It comprised two covering clothes that each cloth is used to wrap the user's legs with fasteners to form the shape of a tube.

    • 1. Each one ends of two covering clothes is attached inside the lower portion of the raincoat by using fasteners such as sewing, zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc.
    • 2. Some fasteners (such as zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc) are set on the sides of each covering cloth to form the tube-type structure after connecting.

B: It comprised a pair of tubes with openings and some fasteners on the sides of each opening to form the shape of a tube after connecting.

    • 1. A pair of tubes is set inside the lower portion of the raincoat.
    • 2. The pair of tubes is attached to the raincoat with some fastener(s) such as sewing, zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc.
    • 3. There are downward openings set on the tubes.
    • 4. Some closed connectors (such as zipper, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc) are set on the edge of the opening for easily wearing and for controlling the fitness of the tubes easily.

It also could comprise a pair of seamless tubes which is attached inside the raincoat with some fasteners and is set some binding parts on the bottoms for avoiding slipping down.

The principal objects, also the features and advantages, of this invention are:

    • 1. Improving the prior raincoat's legs protection function. The tube-type structure is set inside the lower portion to form the second protection layer. So the original raincoat as the first protection layer receives plenty of rain from the sky, and the tube-type structure inside the lower portion is the second protection layer to covering the dropping rain of the lower edges and the splashed water from the ground for keeping user's legs dry. This invention could reduce the amount of receiving water to eliminate the defects of the single protection layer structure of the prior raincoat.
    • 2. Enhancing the wearing convenience. The covering effect of the tube-type structure is the same as wearing the rain trousers directly but saving the troubles of wearing.
    • 3. Improving the wearing comfort. The tube-type structure doesn't have the crotch structure, so it allows ventilation to drive the body heat out. This invention could eliminate the defect of the muggy feeling caused by the body heat as wearing the union suit type raincoat.
    • 4. Improving the covering effect. Because the tube-type structure is wrapping around the user's legs, the lower portion motion of the raincoat could be limited without swinging as facing the fierce wind. This invention enhances the covering protection effect.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

This invention comprises an original raincoat and an adding tube-type structure which contains fasteners 5 and covering clothes 6 or which contains fasteners 11 and tubes 16 with opening 14 and with closed connectors 15 on them.

And the tube-type structure is attached inside the lower portion of the original raincoat to form a double layer protection structure. One kind of the coat might have collar 1, sleeves 3 with cuffs 2 and zipper 4. The tube-type structure is formed as following detailed descriptions.

Referring to the FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, the first embodiment is that two covering clothes 6, 9 are attached inside the lower portion of a waterproof or windbreak coat. And each one end of two covering clothes 6, 9 is attached inside the coat by using fasteners 5, 10 such as sewing, zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc. Some fasteners 7, 8 (such as zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc) are also set on the sides of each covering cloth 6, 9 to form the tube-type structure after connecting the fasteners 7, 8.

Referring to the FIG. 4, the original coat could be any type such as a trench coat. The tube-type structure is suitable to attach with any kind of coats only if they have the open lower portion.

Referring to the FIGS. 5 and 6, the second embodiment is that a pair of tubes 12, 16 attached inside the lower portion of a waterproof or windbreak coat. And each upper rim of two tubes 12, 16 is attached inside the coat by using fasteners 11, 17 such as sewing, zippers, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc. There are two downward openings 14 set on tubes 12, 16 each. Some closed connectors 13, 15 (such as zipper, snap buttons, velcro(s), . . . etc) are set on the edge of the opening 14 for easily wearing and for controlling the fitness of the tubes 12, 16 easily.

There are three functions of the closed connector 13, 15 set on the edge of the openings 14 which are: providing a convenient way to allow the user's legs and shoes passing through the tubes very quickly, controlling the fitness of the tubes to wrap the user's legs, and being suitable for children's usage by the design of the downward openings 14 with the zipper type closed connectors 13, 15. The child only needs to zip down the zippers on the tubes 12, 16 who can complete the raincoat wearing by avoiding the troubles of assembling the left and right zipper's heads.

This tube-type structure also could comprise a pair of formed tubes 12, 16 which is attached inside the raincoat with some fasteners 11, 17 and is set some binding parts on the bottoms for avoiding slipping down.

Obviously the invention is susceptible to changes or alternations without defeating its practicability. Therefore, the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings and described herein is not confined.
