Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a luggage, more particularly to a luggage having a protective coat.

2. Description of the Related Art

With reference to FIG. 8, a conventional luggage has a body (60) and a telescopic handle.

The body (60) has a top surface, a bottom surface and multiple wheels. The wheels are mounted on the bottom surface of the body (60).

The telescopic handle (62) is mounted inside the body (60) and can extend from the top surface of the body (60).

The conventional luggage is often made of textile material or plastic material, and the luggage is not waterproof. Therefore, the luggage will become wet easily. Also, when the luggage is transported, the surface of the body (60) will be damaged easily.

Thus, a real need exists for a luggage that has a protective coat to prevent the above damage.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a luggage that has a protective coat.

The luggage in accordance with the present invention has a body, a telescopic handle and a protective coat.

The telescopic handle and the protective coat are mounted respectively on the body. The protective coat has a bag body and a coat. The coat has an extension handle hole, a second connecting element and a locking element. The second connecting element is mounted on the coat to connect to the bag body. The locking element is mounted on the coat to hold the body.

When the protective coat is used, the body is covered by the coat to keep the luggage from being damaged or becoming wet.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 and 5, a luggage in accordance with the present invention has a body (10), a telescopic handle (14) and a protective coat (20, 20′).

The body (10) has an outer surface, a top surface, a bag (12), an optional handle (16) and a bottom. The body (10) may be any kind of conventional luggage body. The bag (12) is mounted on the outer surface of the body (10) for storing. The handle (16) is mounted on the top surface of the body (10).

The telescopic handle (14) is mounted on the body (10) and may be stored in the body (10) or extended from the body (10). The telescopic handle (14) may be any kind of conventional telescopic handle.

The protective coat (20, 20′) is mounted on the outer surface of the body (10) and may be separately mounted on the body (10). The protective coat (20, 20′) is made of waterproof material and has a coat (28).

The coat (28) is detachably mounted in the bag (12) and has an inner surface, an edge, an extension handle hole (22), at least one optional elastic strap (24), an optional fixed handle hole (26), a connecting element (30) and a locking element (40). The extension handle hole (22) is defined in the coat (28) and corresponds to the telescopic handle (14) on the body (10). The at least one elastic strap (24) is mounted on the edge of the coat (28) to prevent the coat (28) from releasing. In a preferred embodiment, two elastic straps (24) are mounted on the edge of the coat (28) and are opposite to each other. The fixed handle hole (26) is defined in the coat (28) and corresponds to the handle (16) on the body (10). In a preferred embodiment, the closing elements may be buttons, zippers, or Velcro™ connectors. In a most preferred embodiment, the closing elements all are zippers.

The connecting element (30) is mounted between the inner surface of the coat (28) and the bag (12) and is used to connect to the bag (12) on the body (10). The second connecting element (30) may be a zipper (210), a button or a Velcro™ connector.

The locking element (40) is mounted between the edge of the coat (28) and the body (10) to hold the protective coat (20) to the body (10). The locking element (40) may be any kind of conventional locking element. In a preferred embodiment, the locking element (40) has a string (42), two optional pullers (43) and two hooks (44). The string (42) is mounted on the edge of the coat (24). The pullers (43) are mounted on the string (42). The hooks (44) are mounted on the bottom of the body (10).

The protective coat (20) is used by pulling the pullers (43) so the coat (28) covers the body (10). The string (42) loops over the hooks (44). The extension handle hole (22) is aligned with the telescopic handle (14), and the fixed handle hole (26) is aligned with the handle (16). Therefore, the body (10) is protected by the coat (24) for being damaged or wet, and the body (10) is carried by the handle (16) or the telescopic handle (14).

With further reference to FIG. 4, the protective coat (20) is stored by folding the coat (28) and storing the coat (28) inside the bag body (21). Also, the coat (28) may be separated respectively from the body (10) for washing or replacement.

With reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, a luggage of a third embodiment in accordance with the present invention has a body, a telescopic handle and a protective coat (50).

The body and the telescopic handle is the same as the above described.

The prospective coat (50) has a coat (52). The coat (52) is also detachably mounted in the bag of the body and almost the same as the described coat (28). The coat (52) further comprises a longitudinal opening, a first closing element (72), two second closing elements (74), two wings (54) and a hook (56). The longitudinal opening is defined longitudinally in the coat (52), and the first closing element (72) is mounted on the longitudinal opening to close the longitudinal opening. Furthermore, the second closing elements (74) are respectively mounted in the extension handle hole (22) and the fixed handle hole (26) to close the holes (22,26). The wings (54) are respectively formed on the edge with the elastic strap (24) and face to each other. The hook (56) is mounted on one of the wings (54) for holding the other wing (54) in position.

The advantages of the luggage in accordance with the present invention follow.

1. The protective coat (20,20′,50) mounted on the body (10) can be extended to prevent the body (10) from being damaged or becoming wet.

2. The protective coat (20,20′,50) can be stored be a small volume or be replaced, so the protective coat (20,20′,50) is convenient for use.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and features of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
