A disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush for postponing and/or eliminating the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill. The inventive device includes of a single main component by which this main component, the disposable flexible container, consists of a front face wall and a back face wall placed opposite to one another and seamed at the outer periphery of the container and outer contour of the container's central volume intended to contain a wet paint brush. The outer periphery of the two layers' margin of film emulates a universally recognized standard paint brush. The structure consists of a wide upper section and a narrow lower section. A mouth exists at the top of the wide upper sections of the disposable flexible container to admit an exerted paint brush and also permits for the accommodation to temporarily store said exerted paint brush. A closure flap exists at the top of the wide upper section of the back face wall.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims the priority of PPA Ser. No. 60/706282, Filed Aug. 8, 2005.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to disposable plastic bags and more specifically it relates to a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush to postpone and/or eliminate the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill.

2. Description of the Prior Art

It can be appreciated that disposable plastic bags have been in use for years. Typically, disposable plastic bags are comprised of a plasticity matter.

The main problem with conventional disposable plastic bags is an absence of a concept to provide a preferred disposable method for temporarily protecting a paint brush after its usage in paint. Another problem with conventional disposable plastic bags is the designs, which exist, fail to provide a preferred formation to temporarily store a paint brush after its usage in paint. Another problem with conventional disposable plastic bags is the incorporated density of film of existing plastic bags large enough to accept a sizable paint brush is not cost efficient for a user of disposable demands.

While these devices may be suitable for the particular purpose to which they address, they are not as suitable for postponing and/or eliminating the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill. The main problem with conventional disposable plastic bags is an absence of a concept to provide a preferred disposable method for temporarily protecting a wet paint brush after its usage in paint. Another problem is the designs, which exist, fail to provide a preferred formation to temporarily store a wet paint brush after its usage in paint. Also, another problem is the incorporated density of film of existing plastic bags large enough to accept a sizable paint brush is not cost efficient for a user of disposable demands.

In these respects, the disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in so doing provides an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of postponing and/or eliminating the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of disposable plastic bags now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a new disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush construction wherein the same can be utilized for postponing and/or eliminating the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a wet paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill.

The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that has many of the advantages of the disposable plastic bags mentioned heretofore and many novel features that result in a new disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by any of the prior art disposable plastic bags, either alone or in any combination thereof.

To attain this, the present invention generally comprises of a single main component by which this main component, the disposable flexible container, consists of a front face wall and a back face wall placed opposite to one another and seamed at the outer periphery of the container and outer contour of the container's central volume intended to contain a wet paint brush. The outer periphery of the two layers' margin of film emulates a universally recognized standard paint brush. The structure comprises of a wide upper section and a narrow lower section. A mouth exists at the top of the wide upper sections of the disposable flexible container to admit an exerted paint brush and also permits for the accommodation to temporarily store said exerted paint brush. A closure flap exists at the top of the wide upper section of the back face wall.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter.

In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of the description and should not be regarded as limiting.

A primary object of the present invention is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that will overcome the shortcomings of the prior art devices.

An object of the present invention is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush for postponing and/or eliminating the burdensome task required, in which, the detailed cleaning of a paint brush demands upon an artist or painter of professional or novice skill.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that institutes the ideal formation.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that will eliminate the damaging effects to the bristle end of a paint brush which results from the temporary or prolonged vertical placement of a paint brush in a paint container containing paint or empty.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that will protect a paint brush from the interior, or exterior, climatic conditions in which a paint brush may be exposed to during a period of unpredictable unprotected temporary non-use.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that supports the retention of moisture within a paint formula on the paint brush bristle allowing for the wet factor to continue until the temporary placement within a refrigerated environment has decidedly ended.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that permits a user or users the capability of multiple paint brush protection by implementing the simultaneous use of multiple disposable flexible containers if required.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that prevents the exposure of airborne particulates on a paint brush during a time of unprotected temporary non-use.

Another object is to provide a disposable flexible container for temporarily storing a wet paint brush that permits a user of unanticipated or anticipated interruption of his or her performance the option to multi-task.

Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become obvious to the reader and it is intended that these objects and advantages are within the scope of the present invention.

To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however, that the drawings are illustrative only, and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Various other objects, features and attendant advantages of the present invention will become fully appreciated as the same becomes better understood when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference characters designate the same or similar parts throughout the several views, and wherein:

FIG. 4 is an alternative embodiment, illustrates a bottom view of a small disposable flexible container.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new disposable flexible container embodying the principles and concepts of the present invention and generally designated by the reference numeral 20 will be described.

FIG. 1 illustrates a top view of a disposable flexible container 20 in accordance with the present invention. The device 20 is preferably a transparent and flexible structure comprising of a wide upper section 30 and a narrow lower section 32. A display of three representative lengths is best shown in FIGS. 1-4 of the drawings. FIG. 1 and 2 each illustrate the exhibition of the represented total length in which the disposable flexible container 20 is absent of a paint brush and the closure flap 26 is undisturbed. A disposable flexible container's 20 construction may consist of a vinyl polymer such as low and high-density polyethylene. Incorporation of this versatile material, polyethylene, which consists of a very simple structure and is regarded as the simplest of all commercial polymers; facilitates construction factors of compressional, tensile, torsional and flexural mechanical properties. Branched polyethylene, also regarded as low-density polyethylene or LDPE and linear polyethylene, also noted as high-density polyethylene or HDPE may and/or exhibits as the back face wall of low- or high-density polyethylene 22 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3.

FIG. 2 illustrates a bottom view of the present invention where all numerals correspond to those elements previously described. A display of reduced length equivalent to the closure flap 26 is absent from the front face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 24 as shown in FIG. 1-3. Located at the top of the wide upper section 30 of the front face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 24 is the mouth 28. As shown in FIG. 2 the closure flap 26 exhibits a partial view of the underside of the back face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 22.

FIG. 3 illustrates a side view of a disposable flexible container 20 where all numerals correspond to those elements previously described. A storage length of an occupied disposable flexible container 20 and the closure flap 26 are utilized as best-shown in FIG. 3. The pliability factor of polyethylene may provide the disposable flexible container 20 with the capability to increase its central volume when the placement of a paint brush occurs as best illustrated in FIG. 3. The formation of the outer periphery of the back and front face walls of low or high-density polyethylene 22, 24 exists as the outer peripheral seam 34 as shown in FIG. 3.

Regardless of the preferred embodiment's designed structure of addressing a “one size fits all” property, a user of a disposable flexible container 20 to temporarily store a wet paint brush may encounter paint brushes of multiple dimensions requiring the construction of a disposable flexible container 20 of various widths and lengths; a particular variation of said widths and lengths is now categorized as small. An example of “small” is the class of paint brushes employed by the industry of art. FIG. 4 is an alternative embodiment, illustrates a bottom view of a small disposable flexible container 40 to temporarily store a wet artists paint brush; in which the construction of an artist paint brush is usually moderate in length and the handle is extremely narrow and of an elongated structure. A disposable flexible container 20 is capable of temporarily storing a wet paint brush at or in multiple storage environments. This capability provides the preferred embodiment to variate its state of transparency. A temporarily stored paint brush in a disposable flexible container 20 at a recognized high temperature of Fahrenheit and/or exposed to direct sunlight will benefit from a disposable flexible container 20 of less structural transparency compared to a disposable flexible container 20 of high structural reflection qualities, thus, an alteration of structure from transparency to opacity can prove beneficial for user, manufacture and retail marketing strategists. As displayed in FIG. 4, an alternative method of enclosing the mouth 28 is to implement a fastener system 42 of which the fastener system 42 is located at the top of the wide upper section 30 of the back and front walls of low or high-density polyethylene 22, 24. Implementation of the fastener system 42 will eliminate the closure flap 26. The fastener system 42 may comprise of any commercial fastening system extensively available granted the manufacturing expenditures don't grossly exceed the incidental cost of manufacturing the preferred embodiment.

The outer periphery of the back and front face walls of low or high-density polyethylene's 22, 24 margins are heat compressed producing the outer peripheral seam 34. This manufacturing of the outer peripheral seam 34 has a duality effect due to the outer contour of the central volume of the lower narrow section 32 and wide upper section 30 also being produced. The back face wall of low or high-density polyethylene's 22 extended length manifests the preferred embodiment's closure flap 26. The device is absent of outer peripheral seam at the mouth 28 and the closure flap's 26 three sides which do not connect at the wide upper section 30 of the back face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 22 as shown in FIG. 1-3. The absence of seam 34 between the back face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 22 and the mouth 28 provides the device the ability to accept an exerted paint brush for temporary storage. The broad formation of the wide upper section 30 as shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 4 provides adequate storage area for a wet paint brush's structuring of bristle and ferrule as the formation of the lower narrow section 32 can adequately store a wet paint brush's elongated handle.

In use, the afferent motion of a wet paint brush via disposable flexible container 20 for temporary storage which is primary engagement prior to utilizing the closure flap 26. A user would be required to perform a secondary action in which the closure flap 26 must overlap the mouth 28 located on the wide upper section 30 of the front face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 24 to enable a disposable flexible container's 20 provision for protecting against multiple external damaging effects. Succeeding the depositing process of manipulating the preferred embodiment a user would be required to perform a third action prior to withdrawal of a wet paint brush, in which the utilized length of the closure flap 26 becomes secured when the process of temporary storage is attained by a user rotating the occupied disposable flexible container 20 and the position of the front face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 24 becomes downward committing the back face wall of low or high-density polyethylene 22 upward.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A container comprising a pair of flexible walls of vinyl polymer such as polystyrene, polypropylene, polyester or polyvinyl chloride defining between them a central volume, said walls being secured together along a periphery, a portion of said periphery having an opening therein, whereby a sodden applicator can be embodied in said central volume, a closure flap extending from the container portion beyond said opening, said closure flap configured to be foldable over said opening.

2. The container according to claim 1, wherein said flexible walls of vinyl polymer are formed of a film of high or low density polyethylene or vinyl compound.

3. The container according to claim 1, wherein said flexible walls secured together along said periphery construct an outer contour proportionate an applicator.

4. The container according to claim 1, wherein the clarity of said flexible walls is transparent, translucent or opaque.

5. The container according to claim 1, wherein said container is polygonal.

6. A container comprising a pair of flexible walls of vinyl polymer defining between them a central volume, said walls being joined along a periphery, a portion of said periphery having an opening therein, whereby a sodden applicator can be embodied in said central volume, said opening configured to be secured by a means of a fastening system

7. The container according to claim 6, wherein said flexible walls of vinyl polymer are formed of a film of high or low density polyethylene or vinyl compound.

8. The container according to claim 6, wherein said flexible walls secured together along said periphery construct an outer contour proportionate an applicator.

9. The container according to claim 6, wherein the clarity of said flexible walls is transparent, translucent or opaque.

10. The container according to claim 6, wherein said container is polygonal.
