A chair includes a seat, a back, and a headrest; the back has several adjustment members thereon; a supporting frame is connected to the adjustment members in such a way as to be separable from the back; therefore, position and angle of the supporting frame can be adjusted by means of replacing the adjustment members with other ones that have different dimensions from the original ones; people are allowed to select and use another supporting frame having different shape and size from the original one according to their needs and situations; the seat and the headrest have the same structure as the back.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a chair, more particularly one, of which the seat, the back, and the headrest can be easily adjusted in position and angle such that the sitter can be supported in a comfortable position.

2. Brief Description of the Prior Art

Many chairs are made with adjustability and reclining function so as to provide more comfort to the sitters. A common conventional chair includes a seat for supporting a sitter's buttocks, and a back for supporting the back; the seat and the back each includes a main supporting part, a stuffing on the main supporting part, and a piece of cloth member positioned over the stuffing and connected to the main supporting part, which cloth member can be cotton cloth, mesh or leather cloth. It will take relatively much labor and time to separate the cloth member from the main supporting part when the cloth member is dirty or broken, and needs cleaning or replacement. Therefore, such chairs aren't convenient to use.

Another common conventional back of a chair includes an external frame part, and an internal frame part, which has a piece of cloth member connected thereto for supporting a sitter's back, and which is fitted in and secured to the external frame part by means of screws. Therefore, it is easier to separate the internal frame part from the external one for cleaning and repair.

However, such chair backs have a fixed shape, and can't be adjusted in position and angle to suit people of different ages, genders, and body heights. Therefore, the manufacturers have to make a wide variety of models of chairs for suiting people of different genders and various ages and body heights, causing significant increase to the amount of inventory as well as the cost of inventory management.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is a main object of the invention to provide an improvement on a chair to overcome the above-mentioned problem.

The chair of the present invention includes a seat, a back, and a headrest. The back has several adjustment members thereon while a supporting frame is connected to the adjustment members in such a way as to be separable from the back; thus, position and angle of the supporting frame can be adjusted for the chair to be more comfortable by means of replacing the adjustment members with other ones that have different dimensions from the original ones. And, people are allowed to select and use another supporting frame having different shape and size from the original one according to their needs and situations. The seat and the headrest have the same structure as the back so as to be easily adjusted and easily disassembled for cleaning and repair.

Therefore, the manufacturers won't have to make chairs of many different models, which are only slightly different in shape and position for suiting people of different body heights, genders, and ages, and in turn the amount of inventory and the cost of inventory management will reduce.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a first preferred embodiment 1 of a chair of the present invention includes a seat 11, and a back 12. The back 12 has several screw holes 121 spaced apart near to a loop-shaped edge thereof, several adjustment members 13 spaced apart near to the loop-shaped edge of a front side thereof, and a supporting frame 14. The adjustment members 13 each have a through hole 131, which is aligned with a respective one of the screw holes 121. The supporting frame 14 has several screw holes 141 thereon, and it is positioned on front ends of the adjustment members 13 with the screw holes 141 thereof being aligned with respective ones of the through holes 131 of the adjustment members 13. The supporting frame 14 further has a piece of cloth 17 positioned over a space within it, and securely connected thereto, which can be cotton cloth, mesh, leather cloth or plastic cloth; in the present embodiment, a mesh is used, which allows air to travel through it, and is elastic and in fashion. Threaded connecting elements 15 are passed through the screw holes 121, the through holes 131, and the screw holes 141 such that the supporting frame 14 is secured in place. Therefore, the supporting frame 14 can be easily removed for replacement, cleaning or repair.

Furthermore, each of the screw holes 121 of the back 12 has a plug 16 fitted in a rear end thereof; thus, there won't be any cavity on the rear side of the back 12 to spoil the appearance of the whole chair 1.

Therefore, position of the supporting frame 14 will be changed when the original adjustment members 13 are replaced with other adjustment members that have different dimensions from the original ones 13. People are allowed to adjust the position and angle of the supporting frame 14 according to their needs and situations by means of selecting and using suitable adjustment members 13, and they are allowed to select and use other supporting frames having different shapes and sizes from the present one to suit them. For example, referring to FIG. 3, if upper ones of the adjustment members 13 are longer than lower ones of the adjustment members 13, the supporting frame 14 will be at a particular angle, which suits tall persons.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 4, the adjustment members 13 and the back 12 are formed together such that the adjustment members 13 can't be separated from the back 12 instead. And, the supporting frame 14 is secured in place by means of passing threaded connecting elements 15 through the screw holes 121 of the back 12, the through holes 131 of the adjustment members 13, and the screw holes 141 of the supporting frame 14. Therefore, the supporting frame 14 can be easily separated from the adjustment members 13. Or alternatively, referring to FIG. 5, the adjustment members 13 and the supporting frame 14 can be formed together such that the adjustment members 13 are inseparable from the supporting frame 14 instead.

Referring to FIG. 6, a second preferred embodiment 2 of a chair of the present invention includes a seat 21, which has several adjustment members 22 secured on an upper side thereof, and a supporting frame 23 positioned over and separably connected to the adjustment members 22. The supporting frame 23 has a cloth unit 24 positioned over a space within it, and securely connected thereto Therefore, the supporting frame 23 can be easily removed for replacement, repair or cleaning of the cloth 24. And, people are allowed to adjust the position and angle of the supporting frame 23 according to their needs and situations by means of selecting and using suitable adjustment members 22, and they are allowed to select and use other supporting frames having different shapes and sizes from the present one to suit them.

Referring to FIG. 7, a third preferred embodiment 3 of a chair of the present invention includes a back 32, and a headrest 31 connected to an upper end of the back 32. The headrest 31 has several adjustment members 33 secured thereon, and a supporting frame 34 positioned over and separably connected to the adjustment members 33. Therefore, the supporting frame 34 can be easily removed for replacement, repair or cleaning. And, people are allowed to adjust the position and angle of the supporting frame 34 according to their needs and situations by means of selecting and using suitable adjustment members 33, and they are allowed to select and use other supporting frames having different shapes and sizes from the present one to suit them.

From the above description, it can be easily seen that the chair of the present invention has the following advantages: the chair has a fashionable look, and the seat, the back, and the headrest are easy to disassemble for cleaning and repair; position and angle of the supporting frames can be easily adjusted by means of selecting and using suitable adjustment members, and the supporting frames can be replaced with other ones having different shapes and sizes according to people's needs and situations; the manufacturers won't have to make chairs of many different models, which are only slightly different in shape and position, and in turn the amount of inventory and the cost of inventory management will reduce.

Claims

1. A chair, comprising

a seat; and
a back; the back having a plurality of adjustment members thereon; a supporting frame being connected to the adjustment members in such a way as to be separable from the back;
whereby position and angle of the supporting frame will change when the adjustment members are replaced with other ones that have different dimensions from them.

2. The chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adjustment members are spaced apart near to a loop-shaped edge of the back.

3. The chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adjustment members and the back are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the back.

4. The chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the adjustment members and the supporting frame are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the supporting frame.

5. The chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the adjustment members has a through hole, and the back and the supporting frame each have screw holes thereon; threaded connecting elements being passed through the screw holes and the through holes to secure the supporting frame in position.

6. The chair as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting frame has a piece of cloth secured thereon.

7. A chair, comprising

a back; and
a seat; the seat having a plurality of adjustment members thereon; a supporting frame being connected to the adjustment members in such a way as to be separable from the seat;
whereby position and angle of the supporting frame will change when the adjustment members are replaced with other ones that have different dimensions from them.

8. The chair as claimed in claim 7, wherein the adjustment members are spaced apart near to a loop-shaped edge of the seat.

9. The chair as claimed in claim 7, wherein the adjustment members and the seat are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the seat.

10. The chair as claimed in claim 7, wherein the adjustment members and the supporting frame are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the supporting frame.

11. The chair as claimed in claim 7, wherein each of the adjustment members has a through hole, and the seat and the supporting frame each have screw holes thereon; threaded connecting elements being passed through the screw holes and the through holes to secure the supporting frame in position.

12. The chair as claimed in claim 7, wherein the supporting frame has a piece of cloth secured thereon.

13. A chair, comprising

a seat;
a back; and
a headrest connected to the back; the headrest having a plurality of adjustment members thereon; a supporting frame being connected to the adjustment members in such a way as to be separable from the headrest;
whereby position and angle of the supporting frame will change when the adjustment members are replaced with other ones that have different dimensions from them.

14. The chair as claimed in claim 13, wherein the adjustment members are spaced apart near to a loop-shaped edge of the headrest.

15. The chair as claimed in claim 13, wherein the adjustment members and the headrest are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the headrest.

16. The chair as claimed in claim 13, wherein the adjustment members and the supporting frame are formed together such that the adjustment members can't be separated from the supporting frame.

17. The chair as claimed in claim 13, wherein each of the adjustment members has a through hole, and the headrest and the supporting frame each have screw holes thereon; threaded connecting elements being passed through the screw holes and the through holes to secure the supporting frame in position.

18. The chair as claimed in claim 13, wherein the supporting frame has a piece of cloth secured thereon.
