Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to an air conditioner, and particularly to a support structure of a multi-segmented blower for a split air conditioner.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional invention, a blower assembly for a split air conditioner, which has patented to Koochingchai in U.S. Pat. No. 6,511,291, comprises a casing having a bearing trough in one end, a pair of rubber sleeve troughs in the other opposite end, a plurality of central hollow posts each having a threaded hole; and a blower having a plurality of blower units each having a shaft in one end and a hole in the other opposite end, at least one bearing seat, a plurality of bearings, at least one motor, and a plurality of rubber sleeves mounted on the motor and rested on the rubber sleeve troughs, and a plurality of plates for threaded securing the rubber sleeves.

Above-mentioned case, the bearing seat of the blower is separated from a base plate of the air conditioner, which additionally screws on the base to locate the multi-segment blower fan, and the multi-segment blower is assembled by at least two separated units of blower. The assembling process is pretty consuming time and increasing the producing cost. Therefore, the present invention can increases the assembly speed and reduces the cost.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main purposes of the present invention are simplified assembly, increasing efficiency of production, low down the cost, less opportunity of vibration and noise of loosing bearing seat.

The present invention comprises at least two post on a base for bearing a multi-segmented blower, a bearing trough on the post with a pressure plate, in arch or flat, for locating and fixing a bearing, and a multi-segment blower which is assembled by at least two separated segments of the blower or a unit of multi-segmented blower. In alternatively, the posts of the base can set a bearing hole to embed a bearing as a united part on the base. Therefore, there are at least seven preferred embodiments for assembly a multi-segmented blower on the base of a split air conditioner as shown in FIG. 1 to 9.

FIG. 1 an exploded view of the first embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 2 a view of a post as shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 an exploded view of the first embodiment with the present invention;

FIG. 4 an exploded view of the second embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 5 an exploded view of the third embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 6 an exploded view of the forth embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 7 an exploded view of the fifth embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 8 an exploded view of the sixth embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 9 an exploded view of the seventh embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The first preferred embodiment of the present invention is generally indicated in FIGS. 1 to 3. A base 10 of a split air conditioner comprises a plurality of posts 11 which can be vary number and location depending on the segments of a blower 20, a bearing trough 112 set on a post 11 for containing a bearing 12, and a pressure plate 13 which covers and limits a bearing on the bearing trough 112. The bearing trough 112 sets a limit hole 113 and a screw hole 114 for assembly with the pressure plate 13. The pressure plate 13 inserts one end into the limit hole 113 and screws a screw 14 through the hole 131 on the other end to fix on the bearing trough 112. Therefore, the pressure plate 13 can offer a pressure to the bearing 12 and fix it on the bearing trough 112. As shown in FIG. 3, a segment of the blower 20 sets a shaft 21 in one end and a joint 22 in the other end. The first segment of the blower 20 inserts the shaft 21 through the bearing 12 and connects with the joint 22 of the second segment of the blower 20. At least, one end of the segment of the blower with the joint 22 connects with a transmission axle of a motor 30 to drive the blower 20 to spin. The motor 3 is put two sleeves on both end of the transmission axle, and the pressure plates 13 fixing the sleeves 32 on the post 11 of the base 10 as well as fixing the motor 30.

The second prefer embodiment is shown in FIG. 4. A multi-segmented blower 200 is set as a unit, which a shaft 24 joins two segments of the blower 20 with a bearings 23 in the middle. Therefore a multi-segmented blower 200 can put on the troughs with the bearings, covering and fixing by the pressure plates 13.

As shown in FIG. 5, the third prefer embodiment of the present invention is an equivalent of the first prefer embodiment. The different part of the third embodiment is what the pressure plates 13, in FIG. 1, are replaced by an arched pressure plates 115 for fitting with the shape of the bearing 12. As inserting one end of the arched pressure plate 115 to the limit hole 113, shown in FIG. 2, and a hole 116 sets on the other end for a screw to screw on the screw hole 114 for limiting the bearing 12 on the bearing trough 112.

As shown in FIG. 6, the forth prefer embodiment of the present invention is combined the pressure plates 13, shown in FIG. 1, and the arched pressure plates 115, shown in FIG. 5, on the posts 11 of the base 10.

As shown in FIG. 7, the fifth prefer embodiment of the present invention is another equivalent of the first embodiment. The major different point is on the post 110 set a bearing seat hole 117 for the bearing 12 embedding inside of it. The bearing seat hole 117 set as same size as the bearing 12 to join both tightly.

As shown in FIG. 8, the sixth prefer embodiment of the present invention combines the post 11 with the pressure plate 13, shown in FIG. 1, and the post 110 with bearing seat hole 117, shown in FIG. 7, on the base 10. The post 110 sets on outside of the blower and the bearing 12 joins with the shaft 21. The post 11 sets in the middle position, and stands a bearing 12 for the shaft 21 inserts through to connect with the joint 22 of the other segment of the blower 20. Then bearing 12 is fixed on the trough 112 by the pressure plate 13. Inserting the transmission axle 31 through the sleeve 32 to join with the joint 22 of the blower 20, the motor 30 drive the blower 20 to spin. The pressure plate 13 and screw 14 fixes rear end of the motor 30 on the post 11.

As shown in FIG. 9, the seventh prefer embodiment of the present invention is an alternative arrangement of the posts 11, 110 for assembly the blower 20 on the base 10. The post 110 sets in the middle, between the segments of the blower 20. The shaft 21 of the segment of the blower 20 inserts through the bearing 12, embedding in the post 110, to join with the joint 22 of the other segment of the blower 20. And then, a outside end of the blower 20, the shaft 21, joins with bearing 12 on the bearing trough 112 of the post 11 and is fixed by the pressure plate 13. Another outside end of the blower 20, the joint 22, connects with the transmission axle 31 of the motor 30. Two sleeves 32 are set on both ends of axle of the motor 30 and the pressure plates fix them on the troughs 112 of the posts 11.

The embodiments of the present invention described above are regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof. The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scope of the following appended claim.
