Abstract

A decorative envelope type container 10, in particular for small gifts, event favors, candy, gift certificates, and the like, is made up of a flat element 11. The flat element 11 comprising of a sheet of material of either paper, plastic, foil, fabric or the like presents lines of facilitated folding 12 which identify one first side 23 of the envelope-type container 10, and in addition, closing flaps 24 associated to the first side 23, three of the said flaps 24, 24a being folded back along the lines of facilitated folding 12 and being mutually connected to form one second side of the container 10, opposite to the first side 23. The container 10 is accessible through at least one opening 16, removably closeable by means of a fourth closing flap 24a with remoistebable adhesive material applied to surface 24a.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention refers to a decorative visually appealing envelope-type container, in particular for small gifts, event favors, candy, gift certificates, cash and the like.

At present, there is no known package to fit this need and leave the consumer either wrapping separately or including these items loose within a standard greeting card.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a new unknown way in making a visually appealing gift wrap envelope that can be opened, the item inserted, and closed in a quick way.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

An envelope-type container is shown, in particular for small gifts, favors, cash gifts, gift certificates, candy and the like, and indicated as a whole by the number 10.

The envelope-type container 10 as made using a plane element 11 made of paper, card, plastic, foil, fabric or the like, folded back along lines of facilitated folding 12 to form the container 10.

The lines of facilitated folding 12 identify the first side 23 of the container 10, for example of rectangular shape, at the four sides of which are connected three closing flaps 24, and a fourth closing flap 24^a. The first flaps 24 are folded back along the lines of facilitated folding 12 and are connected together, for example by adhesive, to form a second side of the container 10 according to the invention, opposite the first side 23.

The element 11 folded back identifies the container 10, which presents a cavity 15, accessible through an opening of its own 16.

The opening 16 enables the introduction and/or removal of the items from the container 10 and is closeable by means of the closing flap 24^a and sealing for example with adhesive or a decorative closure.

The closing flap 24^a and the flaps 24 adjacent to the latter may have lines of weakening 25. The lines of weakening 25 are substantially parallel to the lines of facilitated folding 12 and enable a certain thickness to be conferred on the container 10 when the latter is filled with the desired item(s). In fact, when the container 10 is filled, the flaps 24, 24^a fold preferentially along the lines 25, thus preventing them from folding in an undesirable and/or asymmetrical way, and perfectly enveloping the contents.

The container 10 can be closed in quite a simple way by adhering flap 24^a with for instance remoistenable adhesive or a decorative closure.

The opening of the container would be facilitated by peeling back flap 24^a or by slitting flap 24^a where it folds on line 12 to open the end and remove the contents.

From the description provided above, the characteristics of the envelope-type container, in particular for small gifts, favors, candy and the like, which forms the subject of the present invention, are clear, as likewise are the advantages of it.

In particular, the advantages are represented by the extreme simplicity and particular convenience that is achieved when the container is used.

It is clear that, in the practical implementation of the invention, the materials, shapes and dimensions of the details illustrated may be any according to the requirements, and they can be replaced with others that use one and the same innovative concept.

It should also be noted that there is a possibility of the positioning of the flaps 24 overlapping so as to allow for a more visually desirable area for decoration or personalization to the reverse side of the envelope-type container.

Claims

1. An envelope-type container 10 made from a dinked flat element 11, said flat element 11 having:

(a) lines to facilitate folding 12 which identify the first side 23 of said envelope-type container 10;

(b) three closing flaps 24 and an openable and closable flap 24a associated with the said first side 23, said three closing flaps 24 being folded along said lines of facilitated folding 12 and connected to each other to form a second side of the said envelope container 10 which is opposite to said first side 23 of said envelope container 10;

(c) said closing flaps 24 and said openable and closable flap 24a having weakening lines 25 substantially parallel to said lines of facilitated folding 12, said lines of weakening 25 being spaced apart from said lines of facilitated folding 12 to provide thickness to said envelope container; and

(d) said envelope container 10 having an opening 16 which allows access to said envelope container 10, said opening 16 being openable and closeable by means of said openable flap 24a, said openable and closeable flap 24a to have adhesive material applied for permanent closing.

(e) said envelope container may also have applied elements such as an attached tag of any shape and size to enhance the overall look of the envelope-type container

(f) said envelope container may also have removable elements either within or applied through a decorative slit in the envelope container in which to insert the removable element such as a card

(g) said envelope container may be of any size or shape to accommodate the items desired
