Bathing support and entertainment apparatus

Abstract

The present disclosure is related to bathing support and entertainment apparatus that include a plurality of elongated members and further includes entertainment elements. The apparatus and associated methods of use and installation provide for an entertaining and safe bathing area, particularly useful when bathing children.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION

Bathing support apparatus that incorporate at least one entertainment element, and associated mounting methods, are disclosed herein.

BACKGROUND

Bathing, while generally considered a relatively safe activity, can be a dangerous proposition for particular members of the population, particularly for the elderly as well as children. The typical mixture of water and soaps/detergents can render a previously safe bathing area into a virtual skid-zone. Under particular circumstances, for example, persons may be more apt to slip and fall while going through relatively simple bathing routines, either due to a lack of muscular control/motor skills, standing upon a slippery surface, a loss of balance or any combination thereof. In the case of young children that require supervision/help with bathing, the attraction of a faucet and/or water-flow controls provide a strong distraction and often entice the child to lunge for and attempt to grab the faucet and/or controls. As anyone who has bathed a child can attest to, such quick and lunging movements can be quite dangerous, particularly since the child is typically wet and/or soapy and as such quite difficult to grasp and control.

Previously, in order to provide some measure of support and/or security for bathers, various grasping surfaces have been provided in bathing areas to provide a place where a secure hold may be obtained. For example, in many bathing areas, a grasping handle is provided as an integral part of wall mounted/installed soap dishes. These are typically ceramic and found in older residences mounted in a wall of the bathing area. In some newer residences, such handles are made of plastic/resin. While providing some measure of support/security, such grasping surfaces allow sufficient space for only one hand. Furthermore, a handle so provided is in such proximity to soap residing in the integral dish, that a soapy film often forms on the handle during the placing and removing of the soap to the dish, rendering the handle slippery and less effective as a grasping support.

Other handles have been provided for mounting into bathing areas to provide grasping surfaces for a bather to hold onto for support while bathing or getting into or out of the bathing area. These have been provided having various lengths and diameters, mounted vertically, horizontally and even at varying sloping angles onto or even into various bathing area surfaces. Such handles are typically metallic or plastic and come in various colors to aesthetically match the bathing area to which they are to be mounted. Such handles are typically secured to their mounting surfaces via screws or other standard anchoring methods, depending upon the make up of the interior walls of the bathing surfaces and/or and the design of the handle. Suction cups have also been utilized to anchor handles to bathing area walls. Previously, such handles have been provided with suction cups to anchor ends of these handles to bathing area walls. If a bathing area is provided such handles, they are typically mounted such that their mounting surfaces are parallel planar surfaces, that is, ends of the handle are mounted on the same planar surface. As such, these handles do not span or traverse a bathing area, but rather run alongside the perimeter of the bathing area.

Furthermore, such previously provided handles are of fixed dimensions and therefore are necessarily offered in differing, fixed sizes.

In recent years, certain electronic devices, such as radios, compact-disc players, mp3 players, televisions or any combination thereof, have been introduced into the marketplace, designed specifically for use in bathing areas. Naturally, such devices are typically battery operated and water resistant/proof, providing a bather with an additional pleasant aspect to the bathing experience.

Prior handles do not provide any entertaining elements which can render the bathing experience more enjoyable, particularly to children. An apparatus that provides support as well as entertainment for a bather, particularly a child, is needed in order to make the bathing experience safer as well as entertaining.

SUMMARY

A bathing support and entertainment apparatus, system and method for providing an entertaining and safe bathing area is disclosed.

In one embodiment, a bathing support and entertainment apparatus is disclosed which comprises a first elongated member, the first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, the first securing element having a first securing contact area. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus further includes a second elongated member provided substantially perpendicular to the first elongated member, the second elongated member having at a second terminal end a second securing element. The second securing element has a second securing contact area, the second securing contact area and the first securing contact area are provided substantially perpendicular to one another. The apparatus further comprises at least one entertainment element disposed along at least one of either the first or second elongated member, and a junction portion opposite the first and second securing elements, at which the first and second elongated member portions meet.

In a particular embodiment, the bathing support and entertainment apparatus further comprises at least one dimension adjusting portion, the at a least one dimension adjusting portion being axially located along at least one of the first or second elongated member. In some embodiments, the first elongated member of the bathing support and entertainment apparatus has disposed along its length at least one dedicated grasping area.

In some examples, the bathing support and entertainment apparatus has as at least one light emitting diode as its at least one entertainment element. In particular embodiments, the bathing support and entertainment apparatus includes a wire and a sliding element. The apparatus, or portions of the apparatus, are amendable to being manufactured from a wide variety of materials. In particular embodiments, the bathing and support apparatus's first and second elongated members are plastic and/or metallic and/or wooden, for example. In some embodiments, the at least one entertainment element or component thereof is made of plastic. In some examples, at least one entertainment element can be provided such that it is attached to and/or depends from a first or second elongated member. At least one entertainment element can also be provided so as to be removable from a first elongated member or a second elongated member. In some embodiments, the entertainment element is secured to at least one of the first or second elongated member by hook and loop fastening.

In some embodiments, at least one of the first securing element or the second securing element of a bathing and support apparatus includes a suction apparatus. Suction apparatus can include a suction activation lever to activate suction to attach an elongated member to a support area such as a bathing area surface. In some embodiments, the bathing and support apparatus' first and second securing elements are provided with differing means for securing contact with their respective support surface area.

In some embodiments, the bathing and support apparatus further comprises a third elongated member, the third elongated member being provided to be substantially perpendicular to the first and second elongated members, said third elongated member having at its terminal end a third securing element having a third securing contact area. Third elongated member meets up with said first and second elongation member at a junction portion of the apparatus. In some configurations, any one or more of the elongated members has along its respective axis a dimension adjusting portion.

In still other embodiments, the second securing contact area of the second elongated member is adjustable to be sized to contact a water receptacle or its rim.

A method for providing an entertaining and safe bathing area is also disclosed. In a particular configuration the method comprises providing a bathing support and entertainment apparatus, the apparatus including a first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, the first securing element having a first securing contact area; a second elongated member where the second elongated member is provided substantially perpendicular to the first elongated member and having at a second terminal end a second securing element. The second securing element has a second securing contact area, the first securing contact area and second securing contact area being substantially perpendicular to one another and at least one entertainment element disposed along at least one of the first or second elongated members, a junction portion located opposite the first and second securing elements, at which the first and second elongated members portions meet; and securing the bathing support and entertainment apparatus to bathing support areas via the first and second securing elements.

In particular embodiments, the method includes utilizing a bathing support and entertainment apparatus having at least one dimension adjusting portion axially located along at least one of the first or second elongated member. The method can also include the step of adjusting at least one of a height, a width or a depth dimension of the bathing support and entertainment apparatus appropriately to fit into a bathing area.

Other configurations include a bathing support and entertainment apparatus comprising a first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, the first securing element having a first securing contact area and a second elongated member provided substantially perpendicular to the first elongated member; the second elongated member having at a second terminal end a second securing element having a second securing contact area, where the first securing contact area and the second securing contact area are substantially perpendicular to one another and a third elongated member, the third elongated member being substantially perpendicular to the first and second elongated members and has at a third terminal end a third securing element, the third securing element having a third securing contact area perpendicular to the first and second securing contact area, where at least one of the first, second or third elongation members includes an axially disposed dimension adjusting portion and at least one of the members has a detachable entertainment element, which can dependant therefrom, and/or a battery/electrically operated entertainment element.

In particular embodiments, at least one dedicated grasping area located along the first elongated member is provided and at least one entertainment element is provided and disposed along at least one of the first or second elongated members. Where the entertainment element is electronic in nature, at least one battery compartment located interiorly of any one of said first, second or third elongated members is provided. Whether two or three elongated members are provided, a junction portion located opposite the first and second or first, second and third securing elements is provided at which the first and second or first, second and third elongated members meet.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In the following detailed description, reference is made to accompanying drawings, not necessarily to scale, and specific configurations are disclosed which may be practiced and are shown by way of illustration only. It is to be understood that other embodiments/examples may be deduced and structural or logical changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure.

One configuration of a bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 is shown in FIG. 1. Bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 can be made of any appropriate composition or combination, such as wood, aluminum, iron or plastic (exemplary plastics include, but are not limited to polyvinyl chloride (PVC), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polycarbonate as well as other commonly utilized plastics), and made by any standard injection or blow molding, casting, extruding, forging, machining and other standard manufacturing techniques well known in the art. A first elongated member 4 is shown, having a first terminal end 10. A first securing element 2 is depicted, having a first securing contact area (surface not shown in this perspective) that contacts a bathing area surface. In particular embodiments, first securing element 2 is a suction cup, that when pressed against a bathing area surface, will result in the establishment of a vacuum, thus providing suction that secures first securing element 2 to the bathing area surface via the first securing contact area. As known in the art, such suction cups can be made of, in general, a deformable/pliable composition, such as an elastomer for example. Exemplary materials from which such suction cups can be made up of include, but are not limited to, any one of, or suitable combination of, synthetic or natural rubber. A non-limiting list of rubbers includes, for example, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), polyurethane rubber, neoprene rubber, silicone rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber and vinyl rubber. Likewise, a second elongated member 14 is provided, being substantially perpendicular to first elongated member 4 and has a second terminal end 12 at the end of second elongated member 14, and has a second securing element 8 having a respective and inherent second securing contact area, which is the bottom surface, not shown in this perspective. In this example, second securing element 8 is also a suction cup.

Bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 is further provided with at least one entertainment element. While only one entertainment element can be provided, a plurality of entertainment elements is also contemplated and is illustratively depicted in FIGS. 1-3. In one particular configuration, an entertainment element includes a wire 20 and a sliding element 22. Such entertainment elements are well known in the toy arts, and are typically provided as part of miniaturized tables for children. Typically, wire 20 is a stiff metal, which can be coated with plastic, foam or other suitable material, and passes through an aperture in sliding element 22. Sliding element 22 can be made of any suitable material, such as a metal, plastic, hard rubber or stone, such that it maintains its integrity when wet and is able to be slid along the length of wire 20. Of course, wire 20 and sliding element can be provided in any desired color or colors, either inherent in the compositions (metallic/rubber plastic/stone, etc . . . ) of these components or can be applied thereto, such as painted on. While only one wire 20 and sliding element 22 is depicted, a plurality of sliding elements and/or wires can also be provided.

Furthermore and in particular embodiments, sliding element 22 can also have a magnetic component, either composing the entirety of sliding element 22 or provided as a component of sliding element 22 (disposed internally in a plastic or rubber capsule or coating, for example). Thus, if so provided, a magnetic sliding element could interact magnetically with either at least another one or more magnetic sliding elements (oriented and provided such that opposite poles are presented and thus the sliding magnetic elements repel one another, providing a floating or levitating visual) or metallic attractive or repulsive portions of wire 20 (either magnetized or not).

An entertainment element disposed along first elongated member 4 can also be a spinning object 24, that is in rotatable communication with first elongated member 4. Spinning object 24 can be, but not limited to, a sphere or disk, for example. Such entertainment elements are well known in the infant/toddler toy arts and are typically made of plastic. Spinning elements of this type are typically rendered in various colors to appear more attractive/appealing to children. In particular examples, one half or side is provided in one color, the other half or side in another color, thus providing a “flashing” type of visual to an observer once this type of entertainment element is spun about its axis. In a similar manner, spinning object 24 can have stripes, polka dots or wavy lines or any aesthetically pleasing design.

Bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 can also be provided to have at least one entertainment element that hangs therefrom, as depicted in FIG. 1. In one example, a depending entertainment element is shown in FIG. 1, having a strap 68 that is in communication with a dangling element 70. In this example, dangling element 70 is shown as a ring, although it is contemplated that dangling element 70 can be of any appropriate or desired shape, such as, but not limited to, a square, rectangular, polygonal, triangular, spherical or elliptical shape, and can be rendered in any aesthetically pleasing color or color scheme. Similar depending elements entertainment elements are well known parts of mobiles designed for infants/children, that are typically clipped onto/over cribs or part of struts that are over play blankets.

In particular embodiments, at least one of the elongated members of bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 can include at least one dimension adjusting portion. An exemplary configuration for a dimension adjusting portion 6 is depicted at reference numeral 6. In particular embodiments, terminal ends, such as first terminal end 10 and/or second terminal end 12, are in slidable telescoping communication with their respective elongated members, thus providing dimensional adjustability to bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1. At least one depressible pin or button and a plurality of spaced holes are provided, wherein the depressible button is selectively received in and removed from any one of the plurality of spaced holes. Such lockable mechanisms for slidable and telescoping extendable components, as well as their operation, are both simply intuitive and are well known. Exemplary dimension adjusting mechanisms for telescoping components can be found in U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,508,467, 4,681,246, 5,941,435 6,453,777 and 6,782,565, all herein incorporated by reference in their entirety. Mechanisms for locking slidably adjustable telescoping components into a desired configuration are well known and have been utilized in, for example, collapsible skiing poles, microphone stands, walking sticks, garden trimming tools, camera bi- and tripods, portable projection screens, adjustable uprights such as those found in poster presenting or easel-type displays. In particular embodiments, another type of conventional locking means for locking telescoping components is provided, such as a locking collar 34, as shown in FIG. 2, is also well known camera and lighting stands in the photographic and optical arts.

In FIG. 2, another illustrative embodiment is shown. Here, and similar to the embodiment in FIG. 1, bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 has along its elongated member a plurality of entertainment elements. As depicted in FIG. 2, one of the entertainment elements is battery operated, here having a light emitting diode (LED) component, for example. In the configuration shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of light emitting diodes 28 are provided along the axis of first elongated member 4. Naturally, such simple electronics require a power source, here provided by at least one battery 40 in a battery compartment located within an elongated member. Appropriate battery types include any one or combination of one or more rechargeable nickel-cadmium, alkaline lithium or other battery. In this configuration, the battery 40 is disposed within second elongated member 14, although it can be provided within any elongated member of bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1. LEDs are provided in any desired color, such as blue, red etc . . . and can be provided so as to flash in a particular or random order and/or period, as known in the art. The installation and use of LEDs into various items is well known in the art, so much so that websites, such as http://www.flashingblinkylights.com, provide LEDs incorporated into various merchandise and promotional products, such as pens, pins, pendants, rings, drinking glasses and lighted ice cubes.

The bathing support and entertainment apparatus configuration illustrated in FIG. 2 also includes, at the first and second terminal ends (here marked in FIG. 2 as reference numerals 30 and 38), first 2 and second 8 securing elements Each securing element includes a suction activation lever 26 to activate and establish suction at the relative first and second securing contact areas, as disclosed above. Such suction activation levers are well known, most persons of the general population first encountering them in portable pencil sharpeners at school or in the home, which operate by placing the bottom of a suction plate upon a surface and flipping lever, thus activating and establishing appropriate suction to secure the sharpener to the surface. Examples of illustrative suction activation and release mechanisms that are illustrative of general suction principles and configurations can be found in U.S. Pat. Nos. 2,812,614, 4,846,429, and 5,454,540, herein incorporated by reference in their entirety, and on the internet at www.anver.com.

Bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1, in particular embodiments, can also include a detachable entertainment element 62, as illustrated in FIG. 2. Here detachable entertainment element 62 is in the shape of an animal (e.g. a duck), but can be of any desired shape. Detachable entertainment element 62 is preferably made of a pliable material, such as soft plastic or rubber; as such bath tub toys are apt to be composed of (e.g. a rubber ducky). In this example, detachable entertainment element 62 has a mounting portion 64 that is provided in releasable communication with an attachment portion 60 disposed along a portion of the bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1. Mounting portion 64 and attachment portion 60 are provided with releasable attachment means such that detachable entertainment element 62 is able to be in communication with and releasable from bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 with relative ease. Releasable means can include hook and loop fastening mechanism (e.g. VELCRO™) with the hook portion being provided at mounting portion 64 and loop at attachment portion 60 or vise versa, magnetic attraction via appropriately disposed and mounted magnets at mounting portion 64 and attachment portion 60 or complementary lug and slot/dovetail configuration of mounting portion 64 and attachment portion 60, for example.

First elongated member 4 of FIG. 2, also is provided with at least one dedicated grasping portion 42. In one configuration, a plurality of grooves are provided, so that when first elongated member 4 is grasped by a user, the user's finger will fit appropriately within the grooves of dedicated grasping portion 42. Other configurations can be provided to facilitate formation of dedicated grasping portion 42, such as raised bumps or a series of depressions, or checkering (as seen in the grasping portions of many firearms, having anywhere from about 10-30 lines per inch, as known in the art), or being covered with an appropriate foam/foam rubber covering specific portions (grasping areas) of the outer surface of first elongated member 4 to provided a dedicated grasping portion.

While particular configurations are illustrated in FIGS. 1-3, any combination of any type of entertainment element, as well as any configuration of a dedicated grasping portion or portions, shown or not shown, are contemplated.

In FIG. 3, an illustrative bathing area 54 is shown, having a water receptacle 72, such as, but not limited to, a bathtub, having a rim 56. Water receptacle 72, can be made of, alone or in any useful combination of metal, ceramic, fiberglass or plastic, or combination thereof, as known in the art. In this example, various support/attachment surfaces are provided (taking the perspective of a bather facing water flow controls 50) including a front vertical surface 52, a side vertical surface 48, and a rear vertical surface 58. Each of front vertical surface 52, side vertical surface 48 and rear vertical surface 58 is typically oriented substantially perpendicular to one another. A method of providing an entertaining and safe bathing area is also disclosed, which includes providing a bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1, as disclosed herein, determining an appropriate length of at least one of the first and second elongated members and then securing the a bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 at the bathing area 54. Appropriate height, width and depth (as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 3 as “W”, “H” and “D”) are attained by utilizing the dimension adjusting portion or portions of the bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1. By adjusting the height (H), for example, one can change the relative level of the elongated member that traverses the water receptacle 72. For example, “H” can be from anywhere from about 1 to about 24 inches high, preferably from about 1 to about 12 inches high, or even more preferably from about 1 to 6 inches if used when bathing children, most preferably about 6 inches high. For example “W”, can be from about 24 to about 34 inches, preferably from about 25 to 33 inches, most preferably about 28 inches. In some examples, “D” can be from about 8 to about 24 inches, preferably from about 8 to about 20 inches, more preferably from about 8 to about 16 inches and most preferably about 15 inches. These measurements are taken from a junction portion 16 to the securing contact areas of the various securing elements found at the terminal ends of the various elongated member/s of the disclosed bathing support and entertainment apparatus. While junction portion 16 has been shown to provide contiguous communication between the various elongated members of the apparatus disclosed herein, junction portion 16 can be a joint (what is commonly referred to as an 90 elbow to join two members, or a side outlet 90 to join three members, as known in the art and can be found, for example as PVC pipe fittings at home improvement centers) into or onto which ends of the elongated members are joined to provide a junction portion of the apparatus. All elongated members, if so desired, can easily be provided with at least one or more dimension adjusting portion providing about 12 inches or less extension/collapsing range, so that their overall dimension (and hence the bathing support and entertainment apparatus) can be adjusted over about 12 inch or less range to fit a particular bathing area. Additionally and for example, by providing such dimensional adjustability, an appropriate contact/support surfaces can be found along the various surfaces, which, if tiled, grouted areas therebetween may not provide a suitable surface for appropriate suction to be applied. By providing dimensional adjustability, a suitable vacuum seal can be obtained by suction means even on tiled surfaces. Of course, securing elements can be provided with flanged ends with appropriate apertures provided adjacent and around their perimeters through which traditional fasteners (for example, masonry screws, wood screws, drywall screws/anchors, metallic stud anchors) may threaded therethrough and be utilized to secure bathing support and entertainment apparatus 1 in a bathing area. Furthermore any of the elongated apparatus can have diameters (around the greatest points of the outer perimeter) from about 0.5 inch to about 10 inches, more preferably from about 1 inch to about 6 inches. Any one or all of the elongated members disclosed herein can also be either solid or have all or some interior portions hollowed. Further, the outer surfaces along all or part of the elongated members of the bathing support and entertainment apparatus can also be faceted (i.e. elongated members will have a polygonal cross-section) and have anywhere from 3 to up to about 20 faces, or more, to stiff and rigidify any elongated member's architecture of the apparatus, resulting in at least one elongated member that is less flexible than if not faceted.

The present invention has been described in connection with particular embodiments, although numerous variations and modifications will become apparent to those skilled in the art and in accordance with the above disclosure. For example, in place of suction utilizing mechanisms, a clamp 44 having a securing contact area defined within the clamping area, can be utilized at a terminal end, clamp 44 being width adjustable via a screw, for example, as illustrated in FIG. 3, to secure an elongated member to a rim 56 of a bathing receptacle 72. Such width adjusting clamps are well known, the principle having been utilized in standard “C-clamps” practically since the beginning of recorded history and certainly for over 100 years. Additionally, a plurality of bathing support and entertainment apparatus can be provided at opposite ends of a bathing area 54, as shown in FIG. 3, to form a safe area therebetween, providing support to a bather when facing either the front, rear or side portions of the bathing area 54. Additionally, by providing a suitable depth “D” from water flow and water flow controls 50, a child is prevented from reaching and manipulating these controls. It is intended that the following claims be interpreted to embrace all such variations and modifications.

Claims

1. A bathing support and entertainment apparatus, comprising:

a first elongated member, said first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, said first securing element having a first securing contact area;

a second elongated member wherein said second elongated member is provided substantially perpendicular to said first elongated member, said second elongated member having at a second terminal end a second securing element, said second securing element having a second securing contact area, said second securing contact area and said first securing contact area being substantially perpendicular to one another;

at least one entertainment element disposed along at least one of said first or second elongated member and

a junction portion which said first and second elongated members portions meet.

2. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, further comprising at least one dimension adjusting portion, said at least one dimension adjusting portion being axially located along at least one of said first elongated member or said second elongated member.

3. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said first elongated member has disposed along its length at least one dedicated grasping area.

4. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said at least one entertainment element is or includes at least one light emitting diode.

5. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said at least one entertainment element includes a wire and a sliding element.

6. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said first and second elongated members are made of any one of plastic, metal, wood or any combination thereof.

7. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said entertainment element is made of any one of plastic, wood, stone or any combination thereof.

8. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said entertainment element is attached to and depends from said first or second elongated member.

9. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said entertainment element is removable from said first elongated member or said second elongated member.

10. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first securing element or said second securing element includes a suction apparatus.

11. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 10, wherein said suction apparatus includes a suction activation lever.

12. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 9, wherein said entertainment element is secured to at least one of said first or second elongated member by hook and loop fastening.

13. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said first and said second securing element are provided with differing means for securing contact with a support area in a bathing area.

The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a third elongated member, said third elongated member being substantially perpendicular to said first and second elongated members, said third elongated member having at its terminal end a third securing element having a third securing contact area, said third elongated member meeting up with said first and second elongation member at said junction portion.

15. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 14, wherein said third elongated member has along its respective axis a dimension adjusting portion.

16. The bathing support and entertainment apparatus of claim 1, wherein said second securing contact area is adjustable to be sized to contact a bathtub rim.

17. A method for providing an entertaining and safe bathing area, comprising:

providing a bathing support and entertainment apparatus, said apparatus including a first elongated member, said first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, said first securing element having a first securing contact area, a second elongated member wherein said second elongated member is provided substantially perpendicular to said first elongated member, said second elongated member having at a second terminal end a second securing element, said second securing element having a second securing contact area, said first securing contact area and second securing contact area being substantially perpendicular to one another, at least one entertainment element disposed along at least one of said first or second elongated member, a junction portion at which said first and second elongated members meet;

determining an appropriate length of at least one of said first or second elongated members and

securing said bathing support and entertainment apparatus to bathing support areas in a bathing area via said first and second securing elements.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein said bathing support and entertainment apparatus further includes at least one dimension adjusting portion axially located along at least one of said first elongated member or second elongated member.

19. The method of claim 18, further including the step of adjusting at least one of a height, a width or a depth dimension of said bathing support and entertainment apparatus via said at least one dimension adjusting portion, to fit into said bathing area.

20. A bathing support and entertainment apparatus, comprising:

a first elongated member, said first elongated member having at a first terminal end a first securing element, said first securing element having a first securing contact area;

a second elongated member wherein said second elongated member is provided substantially perpendicular to said first elongated member, said second elongated member having at a second terminal end a second securing element, said second securing element having a second securing contact area, said first securing contact area, said second securing contact area being substantially perpendicular to one another;

a third elongated member, said third elongated member being substantially perpendicular to said first and second elongated members and having at a third terminal end a third securing element, said third securing element having a third securing contact area, wherein at least one of said first, second or third elongation members includes an axially disposed dimension adjusting portion;

at least one dedicated grasping area located along at least one of said first or second elongated members;

at least one entertainment element disposed along at least one of said first or second elongated member;

at least one battery compartment located interiorly of any one of said first, second or third elongated members, and

a junction portion at which said first second and third elongated members portions meet.
