Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a headwear capable of maintaining a shape of a crown, and more particularly to an improved headwear capable of maintaining a shape of a crown continuously even after removing the headwear.

2. Description of the Related Art

Generally, the headwear is baseball-cap style, which is greatly constructed with a crown part referred to as a main body of the cap which is composed of a plurality of pieces of textile fabric, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part, a headband part attached to a inner bottom peripheral portion of the crown part, and a size adjusting device attached to a rear bottom portion of the crown part. Recently, it tends that the size adjusting device such as above-described has not been composed separately. Instead, the crown part and the headband part have been made of flexible materials in order to adjust a size of the headwear, so that the user can adjust the headwear automatically according to a size of his head without a separate size-adjusting device.

However, in a case of the headwear without the separate size-adjusting device, there is a problem in that a side surface portion and a rear surface portion of the crown part are dropped downward while not maintaining its original shape.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and a feature of the present invention is to provide a headwear capable of maintaining a shape of a crown part continuously even after a user removes the headwear.

Another feature of the present invention is to provide a headwear capable of adjusting the size thereof according to a size of user's head without a separate size adjusting device by making a peripheral portion of the headwear to be flexible.

The foregoing and/or other aspects of the present invention can be achieved by providing a headwear capable of maintaining a shape of a crown comprising a crown part which is composed of one or more pieces of textile fabric; and a headband part which is attached to a inner bottom portion of the crown part, in which the crown part is composed of at least one piece of textile fabric having flexibility, the headband part is composed of a flexible material and a fabric surrounding the flexible materials, the flexible material is produced from woven fabric of one or more monofilament yarns in a width direction and one or more flexible yarns in a peripheral direction, the fabric surrounding the flexible material is made by selecting one from textile fabric and knitted fabric, the flexible material and the fabric surrounding the flexible material are connected with each other in a chain type stitch, and to a bottom side surface and inner rear surface within the crown are attached elastic assistant tapes having flexibility.

According to an aspect of the present invention, it is possible to maintain a shape of a crown part continuously even after a user removes the headwear. Further, the headwear can be adjusted spontaneously according to a size of user's head without the separate size-adjusting device, since the headwear has flexibility in a peripheral direction.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The above and/or other aspects and advantages of the prevent invention will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompany drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view of a headwear according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of a headband according to a first embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a top view of a flexible material within a headband according to a first embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view of a headband part of according to a second embodiment of the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a top view of a flexible material within the headband according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ILLUSTRATIVE, NON-LIMITING EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below so as to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.

FIG. 1 is a partial sectional view of a headwear according to the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, the headwear according to the invention is greatly constructed with a crown part 1 referred to as a main body of the cap which is composed of one or more pieces of textile fabric, a headband part 3 attached to a inner bottom peripheral portion, and a visor part 2 attached to a front bottom portion of the crown part 1. The crown part 1 is composed of at least one fabric having flexibility, and the headband part 3 is composed of a thin flexible material 4 and a fabric 14 surrounding the thin flexible material 4. The flexible material 4 may be produced from woven fabric of one or more monofilament yarns and flexible yarns or may be produced from a combination of woven fabric of high flexible yarns and spandex yarns and woven fabric of monofilament yarns and flexible yarns. The fabric 14 surrounding the flexible material 4 can be made of textile or knitted fabrics including polyurethane or be made of textile or knitted fabrics not including polyurethane. Two assistant tapes are inserted in an inner bottom peripheral portion of the crown part. More specifically, one elastic assistant tape 5 is positioned in a side portion and a rear portion of the crown, and another nonelastic assistant tape (not shown) is positioned in a front portion of the crown. The flexile material 4 inside the headband serves to support a peripheral portion of the headband, so that the side surface portion and the rear surface portion of the crown part 1 may be not dropped downward even after removing the headwear and therefore total appearance of the headwear may be supported continuously.

Further, as the headband part 3 has flexibility, it is possible to adjust the size of the headwear spontaneously according to a size of user's head without the separate size adjusting device and therefore to expand available size range of the headwear.

FIG. 2 is a partial sectional view of a headband according to a first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a top view of a flexible material within the headband according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the headband according to an embodiment of the present invention is composed of a flexible material and textile or knitted fabric 14 surrounding the flexible material. The flexible material is produced from woven fabric of the monofilament yarns in a width direction and the flexible yarns in a peripheral direction. The monofilament yarns and the flexibility yarns are loosely woven, allowing voids to be visible between the monofilament yarns. The textile or knitted fabric 14 surrounding the flexible material may be made of fabric having flexibility including polyurethane or may be made of fabric not including polyurethane. The flexible material and the fabric surrounding it are connected with each other in a chain type stitch 8.

FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view of a headband part of according to a second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a top view of a flexible material within the headband according to a second embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the headband according to the second embodiment of the invention is composed of a flexile material 10 and a textile or knitted fabric 9 surrounding the flexile material, like the first embodiment. The flexible material 10 may be produced from woven fabric of high flexile yarn and spandex yarn on both end portions of a certain width. The portion except of the both end portions of the flexible material 10 may be produced from loosely-woven fabric of monofilament yarn 11 in a width direction and high flexible yarn or spandex yarn 12 in a peripheral direction to make voids to be visible between them. The fabric 9 surrounding the flexible material 10 may be made of textile or knitted fabric having flexibility including polyurethane or textile or knitted fabric not including polyurethane. The flexible material and the fabric surrounding it are connected with each other in a chain type stitch 13.

Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
